Thank you Lem. I'm not too stressed with how I manage my trades at the moment because even when I have to counter several times, in most cases, I end up with an even bigger win. But, I'll definitely look into WZ more. The more I know and learn, the better. (My username isn't StudyFX for nothing. I got to keep on studying lol. )

I actually take into account S+D zones, but I tend to only us them once I start countering and aiming for further targets than +5. This could just be me, but I feel like +5 is pretty reachable even when S+D zones are in the way.

we wanted it to make 5 points or( 10 points for stats)....
BUT IT DID NOT.

The failed bar had a Range of 16...
we could of used a stop and lost the 16 OR COUNTERED, ie no stop on the short and then made a Long with no stop.
That 16 will now be in limbo until we start winning again.

edit,,, Don't forget, i also have retrace trades running to off set losses.
As long as we have the 5% each trading day thats all we need.even if we give some back.

  1. AUDUSD 4-00 +10.7 pips (-17.0+18.3+9.4)
    I saw price broke the low but didn't reach +5. Price was moving around the low, so I entered a sell. This is when I noticed that the DZ was actually telling me to buy (DZ's high was near 4-00's low). I already entered anyway, so I just went with it. Price went down, the bid price went +5, but because of the spread, my TP wasn't reached. Price reversed. Countered at the mid. Price went up. Closed the sell and added a buy at the high. I aimed for more than +5 based on higher timeframe PA, fibs, S/R, and S+D. Also, because Billy has generously taught us that according to stats, if AU 4-00 fails, there is a good chance price would reach +20 at the opposite side, I had more confidence that price would run. Initially, I aimed for more, but price was stalling and I had to go out soon, so I closed the trade.

    If I just traded the DZ, the trade would've ended a lot earlier lol.

Billytt, I'm confused , you say in eg A you want to make 5 points ... do you mean 5 points or 5 pips ... ? sorry for my confusion ....

Hi, you also had a good chance of getting the Daily Range High. Regarding that +20 off a fail, with A/U stats are slightly changing, i would aim for 15 for the time being/PLAY IT SAFE lol

I hear you. It's good that you have taken something and added your own spin to it. If it works, it works, right.

As for the S+D zones, I know you used them, the comment was kind of for the general audience of those-who-may-be-interested. Hope that's ok.

Ah well, my allocated FF time has been and gone - I'm off. Trade well, friends.

i normally trade for 5 pips/points which is 50.
Compounding is different as it is hundreds.

yeh I'm with you Billy .... don't know why "ticks " isn't used ... being the lowest common denominator , seeing some platforms have 4 dec places if that makes sense I'm happy to get 20 'ticks set tp '

yeh, but I have 5 dec plsce eg .76373/376 pricing ,so .01 gives 1cent etc so if I trade .01 for 20 ticks I get .20 less commis

    I was late. I saw that price broke WH high but didn't reach +5. Price was slightly below WH high. I entered a buy. It seemed like it would be a quick and clean trade, but price struggled a bit. It was still a clean trade though without any counters. Aimed for 5 pips above WH high. TP was reached. I was willing to counter at WH mid.
