Nice one! Was late to my screen today but I am sure I would not have taken a short at your entry. I am also curious to know your reason for entry. Could not really find any confluence and it was close to a 100 % correction to the downside.

i took the trade mainly because when i open the chart today @ 730pm SGT and saw that price for the YM was pretty bearish and both momentum and projection seems decent for me therefore i decided that i will be shorting today but i needed the price to at least hit back the 61.8 and give me a proper rotation before i pull the trigger.

Price never did went to where i wanted until much later but i was pretty worry about the momentum of the bulls at that time which i decided to wait and see. when i saw the last 3 bullish candle before the rotation candle which i took my trade, my mind was telling me that with that momentum i believe the price should be able to break past the current day's high and change my expectation however it didn't instead it show me a bearish candle instead and it was at that point i was thinking even if the current trend pull back to only the 61.8 i would still have a decent R:R(i believe it was 1:2 at the time i took my trade) and that was why i decided to take it.

Hi Mr Pip,
Have been able to understand PA better now but I seem to be reading the charts the opposite direction in the short term. Kind of thinking that I was having a beginners luck when I started 3 months ago with about 87% win rate from my first 20 trades. What exercise can I do to improve my situation? Thanks in advance!

i usually based my trade mostly on the current day price action and set my intraday expectation, and unless i don't see any meaningful swing then i would have looked at the previous day and thats it, i do not look past that.

Congrats.

I ended with +16 on YM. Took a short when price came up in between 61 and 78 fib of the last swing. Had a bit pain and close with +6

When there is a large news-driven dump or rip, that move is usually retraced a substantial amount. Sometimes it might take a couple days to play out but usually price returns to the scene of the crime (SOC).
