Right, folks. I'm off.

I am going to be taking a couple of weeks' break away from the screens.

I will pop in every now and again to touch base and say hi and all that but not really working unless I catch sight of something during a moment of thumb-twiddling.

I'll also make a point in catching up on outstanding mail and messages.

To begin with, have a good weekend, all and I will see you when I see you.

OK I'm a little confused at the moment. I'm going thru the thread (like i always do) and I keep coming across posts that say to round UP/DOWN the price of our entry just PAST the trigger line. So, for example if our LOW Trigger is 1.20257....you might enter at 1.20250. In these posts you were rounding down on the LOW triggers and UP on the HIGH Triggers........i'm assuming this is to make up for Spread.............NOW..........Lately we have been discussing entering EARLY compared to our triggers.....any where from 1/2 pip early to even as high as 2 pips early but thats pushing it.

Is the early entry only for the 1 pip strategy? Is the late entry only for the 04-00 break strategy?

Yes I've seen this referenced. Although I suspect this may be only useful to billy as he uses Mid Price which metatrader users can't get hold of lol. So his chart will show highs and lows that were inbetween the bid and ask.

Hi All

June was really difficult month for E/J Daily break
22 trading days
2 Daily Inside Bar : No trade
8 losing day
12 winning day
With TP 20 SL 38
= (8 x-38) + (12 X +20) = - 64 pips

I need to admit , I'm lost with Money management , if I decrease SL size , it will not improve P/L .
Is Hedging with E/J daily break with only solution ?
If anyone facing the same situation , I welcome any input ....
trying to make everyday the best risk/reward decisions possible

If you're referencing hedging to countering, i'd say yes it is partly the solution I'd say.

When Ch4 launched over here, one of the (then) cheap sports they bought the rights to was Aussie Rules. I'd been aware of it before then - had myself a true sheila at the time - and the new coverage just fed fuel to the flames!

Oh and the bikes! Oh yes. Love it (and of course there's The Tour!).

I would imagine what you're experiencing is one of the reasons Billy himself moved on from the EJ Daily. If you're determined to stay with it (not moving to the AU 04:00 with us), then I'd back FK's thoughts and add that I would suggest combining WZ techniques on it - WZ was originally conceived specifically for the Daily tf. Let me know if you want details.

the candle High is 13030.5 i would enter on 13030 and Low 12944.6, i would enter on 12944. (forget the point)

You may well get a .9 (point 9) and that is almost a full point out,
My stats are all based on full number you see not rounded up.
You can of course enter 1 point before the trigger, i didnt.
BUT with the 1 point Spanish method you can enter as normal 1 before.
Dont ask me why i do it though and not on the Daily/04-00.

edit, then of course you have to adjust for bid/ask price, you dont want to enter before or after the trigger

I found the 04-00 a lot easier to trade than the Daily, especially with A/U even though i did master E/J daily

correct, i only use mid price

Early entry is for 1 point method, we do not do late entry, If you go 1 point late on a 04-00 trade that is equivalent to losing 20% of you profit.
As i said, you need to account for bid/ask price so when you enter you are on the actual trigger or very very close

Thanks Billy. This appears to be the part that i need to figure out totally. It doesn't appear to be rocket science..lol.

every winning trade we have you would of been able to enter a point before even 2 ,3 etc.
Look at frequency distribution to show 1 point is very good. i didnt do this on daily/04-00 like i said. But on the 1 point grab i do.
Which reminds me i am compounding that trade from Fri this week. OFF the 04-00 retrace

EDIT: You are only compounding this trade off of the FAIL and the opposite trigger? correct?

yes, with the possibility of trading off the retrace even if the first trade is good. It will all be done off stats and looking at the daily range
