yes, when i first understood that this could be done it was a big eye opener into the world of money management for me, of course i am also using my 'market sense' that i have developed over the years to help with entries.

not sure if fti trades exactly like this, but i do think this is not that far away from stuff he does, as i say the difference being trading it over multiple pairs not just one as i am showing, trying to show this over multiple pairs would be too confusing and would take up too much of my time managing it in demo and i am not willing to show figures on live stuff to anyone, that is why i decided the easiest way was to do this in a single pair at a time, the trader guy from london i met a few weeks ago also trades in a similar way to this and that is why i decided to cover the money management side of things now in my journal as i never truly knew if i was doing it right until that point or if some long streak of luck was involved and i did not want to mislead anyone down wrong/dead paths how follow this stuff i am showing here.

what really helped me get to grips with this way of managing money was playing with it in the online DEMO blackjack and roulette games (i do not gamble at all, unless for fun on holiday sometimes), i used these to help understand how i could manipulate money to my advantage in a random market/outcome scenario, the trick is to level the playing field first to as near as 50/50 outcome with the dealers then apply the money management using the skews fti has shown us, again you will need to run up/down the skews and jump sections to keep the risk low as much as you can, maybe it could help others also understand it?? DO NOT DO IT LIVE. for a £1 start skew you will need a £2k demo account, you will be surprised how quick you can make 10%, only play for an hour at a time max or 10% this will also teach you discipline and control the 'greed' element within us all. if you can only find £1k accounts (most are) just double the the account with the first bet then start to use the money management.

take a look at this profit tracker for another demo account i use to test some things out on.... how is this possible???..... pips make prizes right...not always!

sometimes you can lose and still win.......... it can also happen the other way around.... we need to understand this.

there is a potential trade developing in U/J now....

keeping an eye on the bigger picture is a must for me and has saved me from adding to dead trades and/or at the wrong time many times, the analysis should alway be in the now and kept as simple as we can, at the end of the day we are only ever either correct in our assessment or not so why complicate things when the odds are 50/50, the scouts will help confirm either way if you listen to them.

not trading the demo account atm, too busy with some live stuff.

Agree with your views on bigger picture - I have been trying the eurusd long again - it keeps paying off.

Actually I had been fighting with my computer in the morning and so had just reviewed d1/h1 chart and knew there was some bull momentum and a gap long to potential resistance. I had just checked m15 and saw m5 start the run - the bulls gave themselves away in the messy down movements that did not want to go lower and their fight backs - so again just timing. I did not stay long though once it hit the tops and showed negativity - eurusd does not want to run yet- tried a second run and then also EG went short so out. Any way I was annoyed at my bad PC so poor attitude.

UJ was better tho - just the eur was in front of me.

there are a lot of things that can upset our trading mindset, we must be very wary of everything and how it makes us feel/respond.

U/J looked good, caught some on my live account earlier but must admit it happened sooner than i thought it would... but that is trading for us.. alway on guard/ready.

had a quick stab at E/U in the demo and live as it looked likely to rise soon (below).

..not sure I understand this - what exactly is being recorded under points and how does it relate to the amount placed per trade or the numbers of men?

Money I assume is total profit or loss for the day.

The only way is that more troops made money than men who made loss.

it is pips (points) money and % from the beginning of the year and broken down into small time parcels.

yes, the bigger trades needed to travel far less to produce the overall profit that is why there is negative pips (points), so just watching the pips does not always tell us the truth about our trading results, there has been a lot here on FF about watching the pips only, this is why i bring this up.

got some computer issues myself now... win10 is such a pain to transfer files/programs too.... used to be easy with the transfer wizard, now they want to charge us for doing it.... more ransom ware in disguise..

Thanks for explanation - if not in profit then I know not going well.

I use Fedora not Windows. Unsupported by my trading platforms but my man manages it for me so ok.

Using m5 I went short with momentum at clear selling zone when it revealed itself being wary of potential long trend or another attempt at the long kicking in - then went long with momentum at dble bottom and then out when it got to my strong selling zone. I went stronger on the last long as I felt its power but both with caution and I had plans for what to do. I just followed the momentum in m5 - then had lunch. I paid a lot of attention to my scouts without worrying about them so much. Phew

My assessment was same as yours in d1/h1 including d1 selling zone

good to hear you did not get caught out by this unscheduled news.

this is out and out manipulation, Draghi is speaking again soon so there was no reason to release this now, i am sure another hour would not of made any difference, do you see what they have done here, they caught out the daily break out traders on the top of that flag i posted, if they had waited to say this in an hour when news was planned most would probably have taken profits (or part profits), so they spiked it to kill the stops, i bet the slippage was massive, this is why we can not rely on stops and pending orders.

this set up happens over and over again.

I knew he has been playing with news last few days - dumping news for fun then wham.

My first short in m5 had very strong momentum at start then ran out of steam - but I made some good pips on it. Then I watched it form the dble bottom type pattern with 1st leg showing how weak the bull move was. the second leg had really strong momentum so I thought we are going back up to my sell zone. I would have waited aside except the bulls were so clear in m5. I was intending to short at top again in my selling zone but went for lunch. So I followed their game a bit. At least I came out alive.

Who knows now what they'll do.

THE BANDWAGON THEORY: A GLIMPSE AT HOW THE MARKET REALLY WORKS

Imagine a bandwagon that is rolling forward at a quickened pace. Music
that is very pleasing to the ear is being played from speakers on each side
of this bandwagon, and a few people currently on the back of the wagon
are partying, having the time of their lives. The music, loud and clear,
starts to attract many other onlookers that happen to be idly standing on
the sidelines. These onlookers, unable to resist the sweet sounds being
played, run to join the party that seems to be going on. Progressively,
more and more onlookers jump on the back of this bandwagon, and
those few who were initially enjoying the first phase of the party begin to
leave. As the crowd of new party animals on this bandwagon grows
larger, the bandwagon finds it harder and harder to move forward at the
same pace. It slows, enabling more and more late onlookers, witnessing
the great fun, the chance to jump on. The crowd grows even larger.
Larger and larger this crowd grows, until the bandwagon, heavily laden
with the bodies of drunken party animals, can no longer move forward.
It finally comes to a complete stop. Now that the bandwagon is at a com-
plete standstill, more people jump on. And why not? At this point, joining
the fun is easy. Absolutely no work is required, for individuals wanting
to join the crowd no longer have to run to jump on board. But the nature
of the bandwagon is to move forward. Its motionless state is unnatural,
and therefore cannot last. It tries to move forward again, but can’t. The
crowd, piled on back, is much too large. It must free itself of the heavy
burden. And it does. It quickly shifts into reverse, and jolts backward,
knocking a few of the party animals off the back. The music stops. Puz-
zled faces from the crowd begin to emerge. Before anyone figures out
what’s going on, another backward jerk takes place, only this one is more
violent. Another large group of people gets thrown off the back. Now, re-
ality sets in. The fun has turned into a nightmare of epic proportions, and
panic begins to run rampant. Some decide to jump to their deaths. An-
other thrust backwards sends an even larger group of drunken, off-
balance people, hurling to the muddy ground. It doesn’t stop. The jolts
backward continue, each successive one more violent than the last. At
this point, only a few die-hard wagon dwellers are holding on, their very
lives hanging in the balance by a very thin thread. Failing to be com-
pletely free, the bandwagon angrily puts the pedal to the metal, and this
final thrust backward is so vicious that its front wheels lift high off the
ground, momentarily suspending the wagon in a perpendicular posi-
tion. The last of the hangers-on crash to the ground, broken and maimed
to no end. At this point, a new group of onlookers emerge from the
nearby woods. They are clean and serene. Each movement they make is
deliberate and powerfully energetic, for they did not take part in the
tragedy that just transpired. Or did they? A few of the dejected souls ly-
ing on the ground take a closer look, a look that reveals something very
interesting. This seemingly new group is not new at all. It is the same
group that was seen quietly exiting the party before it came to its violent
end. An even closer examination by a few more beaten-down onlookers
reveals something even more stunning. This group not only exited the
party early, they were the originators of it! “My God,” someone exclaims.
Paralyzed, and unable to move freely, all these dejected souls can do is
watch, as the masters of the game go to work, again. No sooner does the
bandwagon’s wheels hit the ground than this professional platoon bolts
for the wagon. In a flash they are on board. Easy. The bandwagon, now
free of the larger crowd, can move forward freely and gracefully, com-
fortably carrying the more astute group with it. Its pace quickens, and
before long a smooth elegant stride is in place. After a few miles of unin-
terrupted movement, someone from this masterful group flips on a
switch, and suddenly the loud sounds of entertaining music start again.
Someone yells, “OK everyone. Here they come. Let’s do it again.” Within
moments, those who were the former victims of the backward crash be-
come interested again. The music almost calling them from the grave.
And once more, the never-ending cycle repeats.
