Euro picking up pace as Draghi says reflationary pressures in EZ are on the rise .. I remember sisse mentioning how holding cash in europe will become an expensive affair this summer and the downside in europe is fading till the cows come home - all directions are pointing north on that compass and sisse smelt it a furlong before anyone.

Interesting markets this week, crude depression continues with yields continue to flatten which I still think is pretty worrying - this risk on dynamic is beginning to show. Does anyone have expectations for Mr Trump or anything Middle East related? I am certainly no expert in oil so would love to hear more on this topic.

Otherwise, in UK ... Theresa May has a majority after the 1bn promised to N.I and ensure 10 members from DUP will back her party, lets hope that cheque does not bounce as it looks like Britain is on the edge of collapsing.

I have also done a chart here on gold which I would like to share for what it's worth.. I see two options here, risk on and risk off, nothing more or less: One is not a huge fan of trend lines, but this has clearly been respected so only there for notation purposes....

Option A (risk off) : Long for Top of range and reverse anything from Donald premiership, targeting 1325

Option B (risk on) : Short a break of the mid or even safer, a break and retest of the trendline/mid .. targeting the break last december, circa 1175

For me personally I am swaying towards the risk on option...

still long...atm being above 1231/43 is a good thing for me.. 1269 could be a minor speed bump. being above is a higher close month, 1\4 and 1\2.. potential. still holding for 1316 r more.

i dont have gold on a meta chart to plot.. when it reached 1086 it was due to bounce some. then bounced to 1275 ish, it has a 1/2 ass DT (chart). ... causing a drop to retrace 50% ish, then bounced back up about 50% atm in the area its in.. i still have a sub 1k handle. if not it needs to break 1375ish DT. one/dozens should be in the record/chart 5 yrs back or so. governments around the world are looking to spend money to beef up military, i suspect that leaves less room to buy gold. and more room to sell it..

Which this strong strength, do you still want to short it at 1316 or hold your long for HH?

i will tp some.,, and look for a short.. i have to keep in mind 1459 is possible. and what st indicated, i cant play both directions. after 1316 it may be over.. one needs to look for a sign.. 1316 was a minimal target. it can go further.

I am US client, cant not go both sides
I think you are so smart with booking some profit around 1316.
I am trying to short any price above 13xx with 25-30 pips SL.
If it breaks 1320, I think it will hit 1360 and 14xx later!

first things first. 1295 may be a s/r.. so i would need closes below 1295..to help my short.. atm it's looking dire.. time will tell.. i suspect 1295 is small, but probably the first step i would need of many.

also with a few days to go. 1223 is probably on big bears mind. that low at 1118 with 1223 center is about 105 pips. 105 added to 1223 or about 1328.. the atm high is near at 1334..

usdx has a clear 94.64 path.. but that retrace i spoke of for months hasn't happened. if eu bulls tire. the usdx may be ready for 100+ norm is past post. b4 94.6x.

my window is about 350 pips above, 1216/1711 .. the regular widow is even larger 1115/1711.. or about 600 pips. its above 1115 atm.. so now here below 11711.. i look to short. all that 1316 was was a target reached. 1316 and 1459 are the same thing.. but 1316 was much larger, it is part of 0585... i dont know if 1459 or even more would happen or not. think wise, it dont matter what i think. i have to weigh the risk comparable to reward. at this point the closes are still bullish. i hope if i am stopped out i get a new signal to short. i chose not to long after 1316 atm.. i may be wrong. i may get stopped a few times.. still looking atm.. month's 1/4 1/2 end. can be big if i chose the right direction
