May's Trend System (indicatorless trading)

This just might be the slickest scam ever on Forex Factory. She is already offering through her blog emails to mentor traders that place money with her to trade. You have been warned.

It is unbelievable. In her PDF she tells: "It's free and I don't try to sell you stupid crap either. I hate that and I'm sure you do too".
A few hours later I got an offering on my mail account! ???

If you are having trouble seeing Monthly and Daily trend directions, then you can use the attached indicator - its simple, but reasonably effective. Just select Daily and monthly as true, the rest false. You can place it in any corner of the chart you want.

Monthly chart is used for trend identification. But, trade is made on daily bar.
Sometime, it is not trend on daily chart/bars. eg. Dax daily bars.

I can do that. The reason I'm doing it the way I am is because I see far too often posts get lost in a morass of questions and answers and people get lost. By isolating out the piece of the puzzle where I just go step by step and show a trade develop I hope to prevent people from missing stuff. That's the only reason.

However, I posted that EURGBP looked to be in an uptrend. Daily chart is looking like consolidation is about to end and now we're just looking for an entry.

I'll post about the exact entry as we go forward on that pair and a few others we're looking at as well.

What is not clear about the strategy? I'm confused. Find a trend on the long term chart, look for consolidation on the daily chart, trade after the consolidation has ended.

Okay, the trend should sort of show over a long period of time on the daily chart. However you're going to see more of the market "breathing" in and out on the daily than you will on the monthly. This is why the daily is used to give us an entry, but the monthly is used to determine the trend direction.

A system which you can trade profitably is good if you have plenty of capital, that goes without saying.

As for the time piece of the puzzle, the system is enormously profitable and the fact that it doesn't have to suck up your entire day is part of what makes the system so valuable to begin with. You aren't leashed to your computer screen.

That's true of any system that's legitimate on the planet. There isn't a REAL system that you can use to make massive returns with a small account ... at least not over the long term. You might find one that gives you a good winning streak for a month or three, but over the course of years those systems have a tendency of breaking down and causing you to lose your shirt.

That's my opinion anyway.

Couldn't the same thing be said to be true of any legitimate system.

Look, the only systems out there that let you have a thousand percent return on your money month over the month is the B.S. system.

Real systems that get real returns over the long term just don't have returns that huge.

In other words, for many trades 1% open is going to be too much because 5% maximum draw down will be too tight of a stop loss. To help you out, here's my own list of pairs currently in a trend. Let me know if you have any questions.
AUDCAD - this pair is in a sort of wedge/flag pattern and is nearing the lower support. Consider trading off the bounce of the support AFTER the bounce happens.
AUDUSD - this pair is in a weak trend but it’s still there and it just resumed the upward push. This pair should be entered only if you have a larger account to play with
EURGBP - One of the better pairs trending at the moment and trending long.
EURJPY - appears to be in a long trend. However keep an eye on this pair. It may be worth sitting on and watching the rest of this month and not really moving on it until the second week of next month just to make sure.
GBPAUD - Looks as if it’s resuming the short trend. This is another strong one to consider opening a position.
NZDUSD - It’s most of the way into it’s “bumpy ride up” so a position in this pair is good ONLY if you’re going to open a very low risk trade and you can afford to sit on the position if the market moves against you.
USDCAD is in a “bumpy ride up” however it’s on the consolidation phase of that ride up. Keep an eye on this pair the end of this month and into next month because the upward push is likely to resume next month.
USDCHF - this is a great pair in a good tend … but with markets the way they are it’s also bumpy so make sure you keep good money management.

Now, this weekend I'll post up some charts as well so that people can see what I'm looking at and how I'm making the decisions that I am visually

To give an example of what I'm talking about, take a look at the EURGBP daily chart. It's showing consolidation and now the candle for the day is showing positive likely signaling a resumption of the upward push. Not saying a trade should be made on this yet, I'm saying to keep an eye on EURGBP. Maybe Monday or Tuesday we have a trade there.

GBPAUD is another one ... it's consolidation phase looks like it's coming to an end with the downward push starting back up. Now again, that's only on the one candle for today and we're going to want more confirmation than a single candle. This will be another one to really watch next week.

USDCHF is another one. It's in a fairly soft upward push on the monthly chart.

But take a look at the daily and you can see that it looks as if it's nearing the end of the consolidation phase.

My guess is that somewhere Tuesday to Thursday this is another pair we're going to be looking at a trade.
