Sorry Tony, I don't buy it.

The pop( of the world) will naturally keep growing as it has throughout history.
There are no natural reasons for it to stop unless we stop having kids.
What we do in the west is irrelevent to the world pop now anyway - most of the growth will come from Africa/Asia

Few things which standout for me.

1.With no scale hard to work out distance involved. A container vessel just doesn't make sudden U-turns, it can't do handbrake turns.
2. It doesn't say if the Fitz was at anchor or making way.
3. If it was making way the first manouver of the container vessel would be inline with maritime regs, that is vessel ahead crossing from starboard to port, the approaching vessel (container ship) should alter course to pass that vessel to the stern and off the port bow. So the Crystal becomes the Give way vessel and adjusts course to starboard.
4. It appears the Fitz was at anchor as think it's speed and course (assume north top of screen for ease) so North Westerly would have taken it out of collision course, in the time it took Crystal to pass from the stern and do this "Sudden" U-turn. Yes even with Bow thrusters at a rate of knots this vessel isn't turning on a sixpence.
5. Now assuming Crystal made the turn and it's course was now WSW from NE. So now if the Fitz was under way again it was the responsibility of the container ship to pass the Fitz to the stern and off crystal starboard bow. If Fitz was at anchor ( display appropriate day shap.. Ball) and there was sufficient space between the Fitz and land it is fine to pass the Fitz off the port bow ie off the starboard side of the FITZ but best practice regardless would be too pass the Fitz again to it's stern and off her port side. So the Crystal would have the Fitz on it's starboard side as it passes.
More information needed really, as there are traffic separation schemes in operation in heavy shipping areas. On the face of it, what they have reported makes no sense.

Well it seems those "luxury" flats that were going to be assigned to survivors aren't quite all they seem. There is a luxury complex, BUT the developer was required to build a number of social homes to be let at 'Fair rent' through some housing trust and it is these that are being assigned. They were due for completion in October, but the developer will have them ready in July.

Something still stinks on the whole thing.

The thing that got me yesterday is if they allocate them to illegals from Grenfell - how thay gonna know they are from Grenfell - if they are illegal - they coulda just got off the boat from Nafri?

Strewth - he really is a waste of space. I really liked Boris and while I didn't necessarily agree with his political ideals, I really liked Ken Livingstone too. In spite of him being a lefty, I thought that on the whole he was a very good mayor. Both of them stood up for London and were like Dogs with Bones. This one is actually really quite pathetic by comparison.

Unfortunately it is democracy - Khant was elected through a democratic vote and the majority of Londoners(who are now Muslims) voted for him - this is as good as it gets I'm afraid.

Well Mag you have to buy into the fact we had more children because they died and because you need them I guess ,
and as soon as you live in a developed environment that number drops

well thats how the subject started regarding Africa and IQ ,you understand population will rise ,but the trend is down
eventually based on history population will fall unless trend changes
Africans have babies because they need big families to get by ? also they see their children die young ,
