As a person with dense bone structure I am curious to know how this feature conveys better survivability. Personally I found it useful when I used to play rugby (a while ago now) because people would bounce off me in certain situations. I also exhibited above-average strength at the time ... which is curious because I did not specifically undertake body building regimes. However a few sessions doing general labour between University terms made a world of difference, and my ability to lift 50kg in each hand was unusual, which is when I really noticed this feature (unloading a test-fixture for a lifting mechanism).

Ironically last night my daughter and I were discussing this and the lack of official help and response on the ground, and we asked a similar question.

"So where are they putting all those 500?? survivors? Where are they sleeping? How are they being fed? What help are they getting to re-establish access to money, food, housing, clothing, communications? "

We were also questioning how anyone escaped from anything above the lower few floors...

These were the questions we were asking last night. If DJ is right then we have our answer (tragically)

I suggest you watch "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" ... apologies if I mis-remembered the title. There is an ace clip therein where a young black gang-section leader with a well rounded east-end accent unloads on his minions, it is the only part in the film where the producer has added subtitles giving the true meaning of what he is saying.

...and it is a good film, I thought.
