On H4 personally I'd put the zone a little higher...

Some thoughts before signing off for the week...

I hope it continues to be clear how important the role of SR is to our trading. SR gives a clue to "direction". If we get direction right, we have the weight of the market behind us; get it wrong and we'll be selling in an up-move and buying in a down-move.

We must strive to understand the distinction between SR and SD. Sure, in the end it's all PA. But restricting ourselves to that line of thought is as vapid as claiming a chair is the same as a broom handle because "it's all atoms". Be as that may, try telling it to the person attempting to sit on the end of a broom handle.

I can't overstate how important live screen time is. If a trader is unable to watch at least 4 live market hours per day (and I would say that 4 is an absolute minimum) it's my belief that he's going to find profitability extremely difficult to achieve. Contrary to certain popular opinion, trading is not a part-time job; well, at least not within the primary learning years. It is a very long and arduous undertaking.

We must observe and comprehend price moving between supply and demand. And we must witness this full-cycle play out to completion enough times that our static observations are eventually absorbed into our brain's "muscle-memory". In this way they become the kernel of our own trading method. It's my firm belief that a beginner limiting himself to H4 observation will eventually run out of life before he's seen the cycle of the market play out enough times that he may start plotting his trades with confidence. The solution therefore is the lower time frames. My recommendation to those who've decided to dedicate their lives towards making the market work for them is to consider observing the M5. It's stable enough in my view to cycle enough times per week all the while giving us the clues we need to learn how to dance in step with the market.

How about a webinar or a video or weekly short videos
specially for SR

reasons
1- SR sims to be an advanced SD
2- everybody speaks about simple SD on YouTube
3- personally I cant find an information online about SR

Nah, not for me.

I used to run Skype groups and all that business but to be honest it’s too much of a distraction. The other thing is that SR in particular means different things to different people. So if I make a webinar saying one thing then somebody else disagrees, the third party gets annoyed and I end up taking the flak.

My understanding of SR has evolved over the years. I find that SR ties in so closely to SD that it reaches a point where the two concepts seems almost interchangeable. It’s late here but tomorrow some time I’ll do the best I can to present a very simple chart illustrating the point.

The main issue for me is ownership of the material and the fact that I've written it out pretty much in one sitting. After 24 hours it's not possible to edit. I find a lot of the time I do wish to edit stuff I've written.

I'm going to leave the handwritten charts in place. These are the most important part and will definitely still offer people some food for thought regarding their own research. If I can eventually find a blog space or something similar where I retain full control and ownership over my written material I'll be happy to leave it up for longer.

Funny, I took some time off from FF etc to regroup and develop my own way, and found out basically exactly what you describe concerning SD/SR... :-)

That's great news to hear. Also, I think that's the best approach - cast a dragnet over the posts on FF that seem reasonable/logical then retreat into one's own space to digest and make sense. Over time the charts will become much less intimidating.
