Trying to ease back into things. Had trouble with Ninjatrader starting Sunday, was forced to load the latest version, and then wasn't able to load the rocky indi's into it. I was finally able to get some help recovering the previous version, and now everything is back to normal.
Three trades on 6E, all longs. +51 ticks gross which nets me just over $300 per contract. I only traded one, but my mental goal has almost always been to close out with $300 or more per contract.
This could have been one trade and done, but I am going to be more aggressive in three respects: First, taking some profit when a trade moves near my profit target, second, I will get it on reentry signals, and third, as I take additional trades, my profit target becomes what I need to hit the daily goal, rather than trying to smash a homerun with each trade.
Why $300 per contract? For me, it has always been easy to trade three contracts when I am in the swing of things. 3 contracts *$300 = $900/day, or $4500/week. That always struck me as the level I'd like to be at for income.
Here is my chart with NT plotted trades. I added the per trade tick count (in green - always nice when all trades are green, because that is certainly not always the case for me).
And here is the P/L, gross (51 ticks) and net after commish and fees.
I'm going to watch for a while, but no more trades for me today. I start around 8AM if there is a set up (or even before if I am at my desk). But on my return, I am done trying to trade for hours on end. If I can resume with consistency with 1 contract, I'll size into at least two and then three during May.
