What is happening now is so far off of the indication charts that I don't plan to re-enter until the math catches up with this action since I am not holding an active short. CCI on AUD is at -386, which is completely off of the charts. I have been getting a sell signal on the Dollar Index for over 7 hours. This almost feels like the Christmas Holiday all over again where nothing really...
Just to give you guys an idea of where my Time Forecasted Linear Regression line sits right now. On a 15 min chart, it would need to cross somewhere in the area of .8720 even if it did that it is a weak indication. On a 60 min chart, it would need to cross .8806, and for a good confirmed decline trend on the Dollar Index, it would need to cross 79.67 on a 60 min chart. There is too much seperation for my taste right now. Just to emphasis how good of an indicator it has been on a 60 min chart, the last cross was confirming a short yesterday at a price of .8888. We have been on the other side of that line ever since.

Yes.. I think it would be the best thing.
If market goes crazy we need to be reasonable sometimes.

I have been really interested in using geometric charting especially Andrew's Fork to manage my exits and confirm my entries. I have Andrew's Fork as a tool, but I am not skilled at plotting it yet. Any suggestions on where I might learn? Thanks in advance

Hope you guys/gals dont mind a tid bit from an A/J trader,,, over the years I have become very use to these enormous drops, I've been holding A/J shorts taking entries off the 5/8 on the daily since Jan 14, nothing real big 1:1 and paying the rollover and today has made it very very worthwhile omg has it ever,, to much movement away from the mas now and the daily rsi on the bottom so I took profit and wait for the magnet effect to the mas and see whats on their minds. I visit this thread several times a day just to see some of the calls,, some real good short time traders on the thread. Every /Jpy pair I looked at is at the oversold line on their daily chart RSI, most are at triple bottom state or is it 3 taps on support and dive?, Us/Jpy kinda headed to what looks like an inverted H&S at the moment, what is to come of course we dont really know and as someone else has cautioned be careful out there and wait till the smoke clears,,, took an A/J long 76.75 1/2:1 sl 75.50 tp ? adding every candle if we clear and hold above the mas, and if it doesnt well there is a plan for that as well,, other account is now set up in "black swan" mode should the bottom come out of this thing. So what is your exit plan for all of this profit. You must have a bottom in mind. . Now if I remember right you use what I would define as a geometric charting method, Ichimoku right? I learned the hard core fundamentals surrounding momentum trading which incorporates short term indicators, support and resistance, breakouts, quick entries and exits, Fib's, trading ABC patterns, etc, and I am actually proficient at it to the tune of 30 to 70 Pip's a day typically. The down side to the way I learned is that I really can not afford to leave my post, or I give up my choice to take a smaller TP. This can sometimes be problematic in my marriage. I really really want to start charting more long term and refine my skills in that area. I have been looking into other geometric charting like Andrew's Fork, but I am also interested in how you choose your method, where you learned, do you manually plot, or does your broker offer it as an analysis technique? Are there any weaknesses in Ichioku that you supplement with any other charting methods?

Good insight and good observation. I would assume that every thread like this one has it's fair share of momentum and swing traders. At times I almost have to ignore the swing traders when I am trading maybe a 20 PIP retracement, but the difference in trading plans always makes the dialogue interesting. Plus, it is times like these that our position traders become very helpful.
