I'm a reversal trader, trying to pick a bottom, 0.97 was the previous low 1.02 previous high. I highlighted the other day that the range is getting smaller, but i am kinda sure that it will break 0.96 level this time.
My advice - patience to wait for a favorable level will be rewarding.

A few things to consider listed here :
-Euro crisis is long lasting w/o apparent resolution by members of EU to print money.

-Markets are understanding this fact , yet they are HOPING for a real solution

- oversupply of houses in Aussie now, govt did lower interest rates and signalled further rate cuts (but gdp did beat expectations - 50-50 chance on further cut)

- china slowdown

- Major euro nations are going to reservice their debts soon, and it's a major chunk. Failure or even fear of failure will force market to scramble for safety. Even it does succeed high yields will pressure market.

- Euro the currency is FINALLY weakening - took a while for the fact to sink in

For me on 15 m looks like a retrace of the swing for sure but it would be interesting to see a move retrace. attached is some charts with all indicators pretty much point towards a proper retrace.

as you can see i have orders in to sell off at the move retracement. I will be also selling at the swing retracement, i will probably use stochs and RSI to predict where to sell off whether to begin at 38.2 or at the 50.

Either which way as long as you go short and it's terrible position in a day you will be feeling much better. Daily chart says it all.

ok, chickened out. took my 30 pips and ran. Counter-trend just makes me very nervous.
well, that's over. Will be looking to confirm end of retracement, and go short again.

Well obviously I went for the retrace early. Lucky for me (and it really was all luck) I got a good short position to ride this down from my range trading last night before Frankfurt. Unsure of where the retracement will stall out prior to reload. Thinking .9950 to .9975 area, thus bouncing off the bottom of the previous channel, but will be keeping a close watch on Euro and equity indices.

I'd be careful, the momentum is extremely bear on the daily. Three days of strong falls, and no relief santa rally in sight if Europe doesn't get the fix we're all looking for (i.e. - QE3).

lets hope the carry exchange is helping you stay afloat!
