It didn't make a higher high here on the 5m, if it can't soon the trend may be coming to an end on the 4hr and may reverse. I went short the lower high with a stop about BE.

anyone looking to short aud/usd better short nzd/usd as these pairs follow each other and now the kiwi is at its highest.

It's kinda risky because there's been other lower highs on the 5m recently. But now that 4h is becoming overbought it makes the trade a bit better odds. Also the bigger the run up (200 pips here) the more likely of a reversal.

If I take countertrend trades I'll usually look for lower highs or higher lows and divergence in an indicator like stochastics or RMI.

There's no divergence here and I don't like how it's ranging lol, hopefully it'll break down.

There was divergence, but it's forming a bullish pennant on me...

There was a head and shoulders pattern there above too, but price would need to break the two shoulders lows for a reversal signal. Looks like it wants to remain bullish...

I cancelled my short and put on a small long when I saw the pennant.

just advise bro

becarefull before you go long it is very high,
i am on short side just sold for 80-100 pips target 1.0650

just my few fundamental and few technical analysis,

Not to worry it was quick on the 5m just buying into the oversold trend. Yep it's overbought but just made a new high on the 5m...

I do note trendline resistance on the 4hr of 1.0760, think I'll wait to see that. If it doesn't make it I'll wait for divergence or a lower high to go short.

Still seeing up and down bouncing around this channel... Shorting again around 1.0767 region could be good bet?
