Just got caught on gold changed to latest ea thought I had set it to 150 and had I 1 buy trade open checked about 5 mins later and had a 2.56 lot size open on a live account large DD my fault for not checking. Would suggest that the default is set to 150 to prevent this happening. Is it possible to add a buy or sell option only purely suggestions.

Hi

All reloaded, updated my magic numbers, but still not getting trades.

Its strange, it initially took a load of trades before i amended my magic numbers.

Now on all my pairs, got zero trades.... Anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks, they both just say 0 right now on all my fx pairs and gold, ill wait it out, it just feels there was a load of trades now nothing.. I will monitor and report.

Yes all OK, i use a number of EA's, and they are all working fine.

Its just this one which seems to be having an issue, it was fine earlier, I had about 8 trades open instantly when you posted the new version that i loaded into MT4, but when i changed my magic numbers, everything seems to have stopped, very odd.

Ive restarted my terminal.

EDIT

The OBVPS EA is working OK and taking trades fine on the same MT4 account / terminal.

New version is up.

Added features:

Set Stoploss if martingale is off.
Close all trades on friday filter.

I DO RECOMMEND USING CONSERVATIVE MODE.

Try the new version if this fix your problem. Also check if you enabled news.

So this is very strange, when i loaded your new version in MT4, and selected refresh on the Navigator EA area, the EA loaded with all the default settings (conservative) and started working OK, i saw the orders etc. I could also see the WPR data fluctuating / changing, indicating it reading it OK.

Now, when i re-attach the EA and load my set file, i get no trades, the only elements i change are news, max lots and magic number, same as above on my screenshot.

And, the WPR data just stay at 0.

OK I think ive found the issue

If i just load the EA with all its default settings and apply my set file after its loaded first, it works and i get the WPR information.

If i load my set BEFORE adding the EA to the chart (when the pop up is shown, it then does not work, and i get no WPR data.

OK it looks like leaving my news to 'off' stops WPR / the EA from taking trades

OK to ive left my news filter 'On' but disabled the sub news filters, so my low, med, high and NFP are set to off, and it still continues to take trades.

I have been playing around with strategy tester and how to reduce drawdown, because we are using Martingale and we all know it's like playing with fire, you can use fire but wrong use gets your burned.

So I have been reducing Additional lot site setting. Backtest is done for only month of September with Conservative mode.

Default setting 0.1/0.1

So the difference between Default 0.1/0.1 and 0.1/0.05 is 18% less profit and 10% less drawdown. For me the 10% less drawdown is more important since we are using martingale, that 18% less profit doesn't mean much if your equity could be 0% because of a bigger drawdown.

Vianiah has created a very good ea with lots of settings, so every user can set his own risk. The most important thing is to preserve our account.
Anything above the line is an uptrend, below the line is a downtrend.
And something for fun.

M5 timeframe, I don't even know if it works? I guess it does if the Strategy tester lets it through.

Drawdown is so low you don't even need to lower Additional lot size setting.
