What percentage of your trading gains or losses are you paying in spreads/commissions/fees?
Example: You trade for a period of time. You have winners and losers. Overall you are $1,000 ahead. When you add up all your pip spreads for all your trades (let's say 40 trades at 2 pips per trade, that's 80 pips in fees), commissions, subscriptions, etc. you find you spent $400 to make $1,000. Your response would be 40%.
If you're in the hole, add it up the same way as a percentage of your losses.
I was surprised to see what my broker is getting from me compared to what my gains are.
