I would make the USDCAD sell based on the same bar that you marked, but with focus M15, not M4.

AUDUSD is another matter.
That is not an IMT M15 entry that you took at the solid Vline. It is at the dashed Vline, with an eyeon M30 as well.

For WEEK13 of 2021

The bigger picture
No change from the bigger picture from post #125, so simply repeated it below.

Because we are in a rather long-term down move via the Year2+ turning down with rallies still due on MN8 and higher TFs, there is an expectation for the current up swing seen on MN1 to end soon (likely within 1-3 months) followed by a pullback of 5-8 months that is likely to reach around 1.26, but with the behavior of recent swings, could reach to about 1.2. Then a subsequent up swing to the 1.35 to 1.45 area.

We are we are still surfing the MN4 rally that is taking price back up to where it was 3 years ago.

For day trading
Direction bias: down
Control: W1
Action: M15 through H8

Last week, D1 and D2 spent the week in a down trend, as expected. Although action was expected on both H4 and H8, H8 did not show a change until Friday afternoon with an up swing. This has likely initiated an uptrend on D1 that is expected to last about 3-5 weeks. Unless evidence appears to the contrary, the uptrend will be a W1 rally, not an up continuation.

H2 has the focus and is extremely overdue to fall. However, attempts so far on lower TFs have failed to follow through.

M30 currently at a state for a down continuation. It will be watched at the market open to see if the continuation materializes or if buyers will make a run up for a test of 1.38 before committing to the H8 pullback.

As stated yesterday, H2 was expected to fall, and when the M30 made the looked-for down continuation at the start of the week, not only did H2 fall, but the down swing carried through to the H4.

Currently, the H4 is in a continuation that has already taken the D1 swing to a new high. The H8 pullback will be delayed until after this up swing stops. In fact, the H8 pullback will then be merely another TF in the upward progression for a D1 pullback.

Does that look like a lot of "noise" that cannot be traded on M5? Many people are convinced that it is. IMT traders simply check the cycles and the volatility and determine if the fractal-like cycles of financial time series provide a trade opportunity.

After M15 comes M30 for an IMT rinse-and-repeat. However, as often happens, the pullback continued through H1, so the rinse-and-repeat entry was moved up to H1.

Hello, what are the settings for the imt ?
A little update.

As EXPECTED, the D1 progressed to a pullback, and currently is in an up continuation.
D2 did not join the pullback.

Having an EXPECTATION of a D1 pullback enabled IMT traders to consider counter-trend sell opportunities on smaller TFs as the downtrends progressed to the D1 pullback.

H1 continued with the upswing, which progressed through the H4, making a trend continuation. With the D2 the focus TF in an upswing, buyers continue to move price higher, resetting the look for the down swings to stop the up move.

Although a pullback is evident on H1, the H4 had already turned up before this, so a sell continuation on H1 was no longer relevant. In fact, the H1 down swing became a pullback for making a buy continuation.

Today I have not done much reasoning. The short was evident from H4 to M5. About 40 pips.

You displayed the M15 TF, but there is no IMT sell on that TF.

On the M5 below, the Vline to the left is the first sell based on M1 TF open. The conservative entry is the break of the light blue Hline.

After that, there are 2 more continuation sells on M10 at the open of the marked bars. The last one could be when the light blue Hline is broken rather than waiting for the next bar open.

The cycles have not progressed above the M10 TF, so there are not yet any entries on any TFs above it.

As can be seen, the current up move is another POTENTIAL M10 rally to be sold, but more bars are needed to determine if it will continue far enough for the M15 to take over.

Yes you have reason. I posted for mistake M15 but I traded M5. I missed the entry 3 because I had to go to the dentist (bad thing). This afternoon I'll look at it for a while ...

Example of a risky sell.

Even though this is a sell AGAINST the direction of the M20, after examining higher TFs, the M20 was EXPECTED to make a pullback before continuing up. And of course, smaller TFs are creating the bars on larger TFs, so with M10 already in the pullback ...

GBPUSD update
On the H1 up swing, we were looking for an H4 rally. But when H2 could not even rally, it was an obvious IMT sell continuation on H1 with the conservative entry the break of the blue Hline.

Earlier entry also possible via smaller TFs.
