Hi,
I've been reading a lot here in FF, and I have a question for the wiser and older here.
It seems to me that there's a thousand systems involving some indicators, followed by "interesting, I'll try it this weekend", followed by "this is the closest to the H.G. I've seen" followed by "Can anyone program the EA?" followed by a couple of pages changing the subject, and that's it.
I've seen a lot of systems here, I've tested some, I've made tweaks here and there, and then moved to the next one.
I'm begining to wonder if I'm in a big % of readers here that just go with the tide, uuup, dooown, uuup, dooown, reading, saying "Here it is!", testing, saying "Ok, this isn't it", moving to the next.
My question for the wiser and older is: Has there been a system posted here with real, live results, that has shown to be profitable?
I know this can be answered with:
a) It's not the system, is the trader.
b) A system that works for a person won't work for another.
c) The H.G. is not a system but a way of trading.
d) Every system fails at some point (traslation: "I thought I had it this time, just to find out that I finally get chopped (again) after the bulls have gone and the bears have not arrived")
d) etc.
My question is simpler and drier, not philosophical: Is there a recipie among the systems posted here that has worked consistently for months? Look this indicator, look that one, if this >20 and that=red bar, then buy, when that <10 and that other one = purple, then sell.
I'm begining to wonder if there are really systems using technical analysis or if all of this is just a mental mastur... game: talking, reading, posting charts, time pasing, and after 10 years, the conclusion: well, they were right, we can't predict the future. I never went live, although I had a great time, thank God I chose "technical analysis" instead of Sudoku, at least I made some friends in the forums
Again, I'm not trying to ask for philosophical advice or metaphysics of trading (there's a lot of that), just a link or two (posibly not by the creator of a thread) to see if there's a light at the end of the tunnel after months and months of reading, studying and programming.
Thanks in advance
