When are the elections?...So that got the influence on forex market,...does that got some influence on futures,...especialy on energies?

I believe general elections are November 7th. I can't comment on the impact on the market, however.

Yes, November 7th. Everyone has theories. One I hear on tv is that the republican party wants oil to come down so gas is great price, making us think they are doing a good job and voting for republicans. I don't know really any truth or not. Lower oil and gas, higher dollar???? Wierd how that is going that way currently.

And before any republicans write and blast me out for saying this, I am a registered republican.
Whatever the impact, I plan to make some major pips that week!

Nope just young and don't really care about politics.
Generally speaking (of course not always) with elections the currency of the country in question begins to weaken in the weeks before the election date. The date of the election many times (again not always) the currency gains strength. This is mostly because of the unpredictable nature of who will win the elections, but once those results are out, the currency gains because everyone knows who has won.

Just my opinion
This is interesting. Do you have any resources where I can read further about this? Sounds logical... Thanks Scott

Majority Rules. {usually} Ah, if only it were that simple.

Candidate 'A' says "When I am.... I will.... And this will make life better for all."

Candidate 'B' says "He's full of Sh|t! When I am.... I will.... And this will make life better for all."

It doesn't {shouldn't} matter who wins, he has the Majority of the people behind him and {although you may not be one of them} the Majority of the People are happy and you know what that means.

The Loose Canon, for FX trader, is the nuts and bolts of the Economic Policy of the winner. Since I really have no insight/comment on that, I will just have to wait to see the Market's reaction before making a play.

true,..when i was in demo,..there were two elections that i traded,...one was Mexian peseta,... and the other it was swedish Krona,...all were weakening to Major currencies (till elections),....have any off You traded crisis in east europe,...Hungary and Poland?...the spread at my broker is very high,..especially on exotic currencies, so thats out of the question,...what about Turkish Lira before summer,...that was THE fall of the year.

I think that all central banks in US will work in 'slow' mode during elections. So if there will be impact on fx(of course it will) it will be much less than it could be...

You will see mega information about one month before the November 7th USA elections. Keep your eye out for them. You will see very good information and predictions on which way the market will go for each candidate if they win.

Do research and see how the markets went during and after the last election. If you do not know where to look....just ask. I did extremely well with the market during the last election. You should have been trading at that point.

You might want to check your calendar. The elections are 2 weeks away (which is less than a month). Where is the mega information? By the way this is a mid-term election, not a presidential election. I would be surprised if anyone capable of influencing market direction is too troubled by the outcome of this election.
