Need help with adding .mq4 and .ex4 files to MT4.

Try this
Computer>WIN(C)>Users>yourname>AppData>Roaming>MetaQuotes>Metatrader 4 Terminal>

You should be able to see all your terminals, click in and manipulate the data in those folders (delete, directly to add etc.) Don't be afraid to experiment there, if it goes cactus nothing lost if you have saved your indis, templates etc on the stick etc.
