I find it interesting using this EA and i would like to have one.

hello, just started reading. backtested original ea from post 1
from 010108 to today using usdcad, using the same tp and sl of 50 pips for a 4 digit broker, its maximum winning streak was 12

i think thats amazing. can we change the code to double up lot size after every winning trade? up to x level as per each traders liking? and restart sequence of original lot size when x level has been reached or if x level hasnt been reached. what i mean is if we have x = 10 and its reached level 8 and the 9thlevel isnt reached, next trade goes back to origianl lot size.

seems like it will do the exact opposite of the original ea.

if we have enough capital, or even using micro lots, hitting 12 straight wins equals a lot of profit for our account.

lets do it . i m willing to trade live right now. yes, im serious. this is what i ve searching for a couple of months. i know, its casino trading. but i do beleive that luck has something to do with trading as well.

I actually don't think this semi-martingale stuff is casino trading at all.

If you have high RR (one:five or better) and stop after eight or nine trades then you can improve the expectancy of any high RR system if you already have positive expectancy on the market.

Still can't get this automated one to run for me in metatrader, however i havent a clue about EA's.

Anybody know what I am doing wrong here ? As I sure as hell don't.

Try this one sir, I hope it will work for you also with 3 and 5 digit brokers.

hi,
i tried to add in some of the code..
i manage to get the robot to place the first trade on exact time..
but after they hit sl the cycle doesn't continue.. can anyone help fix this?

i believe its a good EA with the right settings, i'm running it with FXDD and it ok.

now i tried i with IBFX and MBTrading but it only gives me errors.

i have a question about PowerSm EA i want to know that how can i edit this ea that when i run this on any chart and open in specific time or price after that ea put 4,5,.... pending orders and when price touch these price and orders opened after that ea just set new T/p and s/L i mean that EA shall not be trade automatically when price touch 20pip away from first position just set t/p and s/l in new orders just like that we trade this strategy manually
can u help me? i have no knowledge about mT4 coding

Ok, here we go. The set-file must be renamed from powersm.txt into powersm.set accordingly.

Changes were : TP 13 instead of 40, SL 5 instead of 10 and BE 5 instead of 10. Also I have set the TradingTimes to false because I watch it very closely and am prepared to shut it down immediatly if there occurs a lack of volatility.

It has been fun to watch in NY session this afternoon. But it may get killed easily. You also need a broker with very small spreads. On my Alpari UK demo this was not the problem, but running it live that might be a neckbreaker.

I started it 1 hour before london opening and let it run until 3rd hour of NY session for today. I will NOT let this one run on its own by any means. Takes a lot of screen time, but hey ... the reward would be too cool

Err, at this martingale EA the timeframe is not essential at all because it goes after price only. As soon as you start the EA, it will open an order and see where the journey goes. To watch it though I have it open the M1 timeframe.

Observing it I have discovered a way to strech out the martingale effect a little more. Set the BreakEven setting to 2 or 3 ... that means if a BE is set and then hit, the EA takes this as a free trade and goes on with the SAME LOTSIZE in the other direction, because it actually didn't loose anything. That prevents it a little more from blowing the acount ^^

Had fun again today, but it is scary NFP friday and the damn thing stalled very much unexpectedly, boosting lot sizes up to 16 ... but the account survived. This was before I set the BE from 5 to 2.

I have switched it off for now, NY open I will be back again to see how this one handles the NFP anomalies.

Just attached the EA to my Major 10 pairs a demo account of $300 using starting lot of 0.01. the current closing balance is $342.... more testing next week.

ok, but be very careful not to overtrade with multiple pairs. Check your lotsize limits and the progressions therefor. At Alpari UK for instance I can only trade from 0.01 to 2 lots on a micro account. On the classic accounts it is from 0.1 to open end / account balance.

I won't ever let this one trade on its own. I am using it more like a trade helping EA. Currently I am looking for a good volatility indicator that could tell us if we could dare to trade or better not.

Hey guys,

as I was experimenting with different lot sizes on the martingale progression, I made a little mistake in separating them with a semicolon.

E.g. if you look at the lotsizes input it says 0.1;0.1;0.2;0.3;0.4 and so on.
Now if you put in a blank between them like 0.8;;1.1;1.65 or so, the EA pauses between 0.8 and 1.1 lots ... this could be used as a safety feature to stop it and prevent further damage for the moment chosen.

After removing the blank from 0.8;;1.1 to 0.8;1.1 the EA continues to trade with the right progression and you could do so if volatility has come back
