The video was taken down. Do you have it anywhere else? I am studying this EA like a banshee. The firebird ea is also successful if you need another feather in ur hat. Cant wait to get this one down and much thanks for your generosity to post it.

i have restart cycle checked but stategy retester just stops after 24th time on a loss...any suggestions? i also rechecked my lots and all semicolons and it looks coreect and my acct still had 5k in it and my max lot was 5
Hi Mer,

I'm very familiar with this strategy, as I've been closely following the FXTradepro Semi-Martingale thread until Dan closed it. As you know, the BIG problem with this strategy is the potential for the BIG BLOW-UP! I think that there's a modification that can be implemented, which creates only a "manageable" loss when or if a loss occurs. In essence, this strategy changes from a "stop & reverse" method to a "keep & reverse" method.

Would you be interested in creating an EA on such a modification? Or would you want to start a different thread/journal on the modified methodology?

I assure you that it all but completely removes the BIG BLOW-UP risk that's associated with the original method.

The main crux of my earlier inquiry was to find out if Mer was o.k. with discussing a modification to this strategy. Instead of a "stop & reverse" approach, it's a "keep & reverse" approach.

The bad news with the "keep & reverse" is that it requires a greate movement in price to be profitable; however, the good news is that the chances of a Blow-up are virtually eliminated. For example, a 24 progression failure in the "stop & reverse" method will cause a loss of about $31k; however, a 24 progression failure in the "keep & reverse" method will cause a loss of less than $4k... BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

I'm sorry, but I'm not familar with the buy/sell grid. Nonetheless, it's really not so much a grid system, as it's a hedge system.

Yes, grid, hedge are basically the same. Some brokers do not allow hedging of same symbols. i.e. you cant long and short the same pair otherwise they will close one of them automatically.

Besides allot of EA's have been built around grid or hedge and they all fail at some point with huge DD.

The only EA's that i have seen work consistently are ones which place buy or sell orders at the previous days highs and lows.

News statements will always be a major problem to any EA, this is why that a fully automated 24/5 EA (left alone) cannot work. Having said that Neural type EA's (that learn for themselves) do show some promise.

What is the difference between the "stop & reverse" and the "keep & reverse"? I fully understand the 24 progression system, I just don't understand this proposed modification. Could you elaborate a little please?

I am sorry to disappoint you, but I do trade live successfully a fully automated 24/5 EA. It can be done if you are carefully set the margins to include "black swan" events, like unfavorable news releases. In other word, never say never.

Is anyone using the Sequencer on a Interbank FX account? I canot get it to work on a practice account with them but it works fine on a FX Solutions account. Curious what might be happening here.

Since this EA has been unlawfully cracked and is available on the web, I will post it here for whoever wants to use it for whatever purpose, good luck.

Mer, is this EA locked or disabled somehow? Or do the new NFA rules prevent it from working on an American broker? Nothing I do will get it to work. Any help would be appreciated,

The EA is not locked in any way. It has account and expiration date coding but that can be altered or removed if you desire to do so. NFA rules don't effect the EA as it only puts in one trade at a time and does not hedge. Like I said, I am no longer involved in this project. You'll have to have a coder take care of any changes or issues.
is there anyway to make this EA work on a 4 digit broker ?
