DislikedI added an indicator (stochastic) to the Expert Advisor, the values of which are taken when opening orders. Now drawdown has much lower! I change if(Close[1]>Open[1]) //Op Buy... if(Close[1]<Open[1]) //Op Sell... to double stoch1 = iStochastic(NULL, 0, m_periodK, m_periodD, m_slowing, MODE_EMA, 0, MODE_MAIN, 1); double stoch2 = iStochastic(NULL, 0, m_periodK, m_periodD, m_slowing, MODE_EMA, 0, MODE_MAIN, 2); if (stoch1 > m_lowLevel && stoch2 < m_lowLevel) //Op Buy... if (stoch1 < m_highLevel && stoch2 > m_highLevel) //Op Sell... Friends, please...Ignored
Hi, thanks for adding the stoch indi to open conditions. We should be aware that it is a good filter, but sometimes we can not take it for granted as it may stay in upper range while price keep moving up. I tried to improve on it by making comparison of higher TF stochastic with the lower, but my coding was not well written and didn't work properly. Basically, if current TF stoch is in upper range and Higher TF stoch is either at upper range too, only then open sell. If higher is in middle range, then wait to open the trade, or open smaller position. I will continue to test and find ways to improve as I really appreciate Voldemar sharing it with community of trader, thankyou.
Kind Regards,
Tzamo
