Anybody having problems with Oanda's platform today 03/07/08 also NFP day? Entire site (online platform, forums) are down, desktop app down also. I'm still running the demo (until a broker can perform without crashing for 6 months, I will keep my money safe, thank you). I'm weary of all the "excuses"....yada, yada, pick your verb. Oanda was down during December-January for "maintenance" off and on, told the "problems were resolved", now here it is again. Oanda is the best I've dealt with except for these persistent "down" times....don't need my blood pressure thru the roof because of these "problems"....seems to only happen during major market moves, odd....!
I use Oanda as well and yes they are down. I understand your concern completely, however, the market is closed right now.

Could you elaborate on the december/january downtime? Was it while the market was opened?

Oanda is always down on Friday nights for a while.... they've never ever gone off any time I have ever been trading....

don't ruin my fun. He could go short on EUR/USD using 400:1 leverage. It would be fun for a "Why such a range in this pair" tomorrow and a "holy crap, I lost my savings" threads on Sunday.

Of course, no platform would need to go down and/or be maintained if they where programmed by Chuck Norris.
