Oanda crashed with me too, but once I closed the news plug-in it reconnected fine. Must have been a huge overload on their servers. I was positioned prior to the report so no big deal.

I have contacted Oanda and they say it is a mistake so they will reverse positions shortly. For your info.

On that link check at Quote List, you will see 200 spreads for some moments.


Also if you later want to see spread at Oanda, put lower time frame on chart (5 or 10 seconds) and then on chart type select "Close Price" . You will see today on GBP/USD 200 spread at 8:30 am est.

We've posted an official response on our board, the text of which is:

As most of you are already aware, during this mornings NFP announcement the spread on GBP/USD rose to 200 pips.

This increase was an operator error. OANDA is very sorry that this occurred.

We are in the process of reversing and fixing trades that were incorrectly filled due to this error and we hope to have corrected all the errors by the end of business today, there may be some cases that take longer to correct as the market continues to move.

Again, we are extremely sorry about this error.
