Comprehensive Historical Data for MetaTrader??

Hello, does anybody know a good source for comprehensive (i.e. since 2000 or earlier) historical data for MetaTrader? These guys look to be selling some:

Alpari has real good sets of 1m data that you can upscale.

I beg to differ. Their historical data is full of holes like swiss cheese.

I wish someone had a clean source of historical data. Why is this so elusive?
