The 0.7198 line marked is a strong resistance based on my D1 chart. As for the Big Boss chart, I still cannot identify the line properly. Need to study more.

GBPNZD - Sell

The usual GBP shenanigans went on for a couple of hours during the ECB meeting, sat through it... There was also a lot going on in this area with three weekly bottoms (ahem) one a biggish WCC and a big number, so it was a good one to observe..

Because PA on M5 was a bit messy I was keeping a close eye on the other time frames and other GBP pairs for a nudge, I used my M15 for entry so thats why it may not be a clear entry on M5.
Also PA on 1 hour allowed me to relax through the dull range period....

I have another trade on EURNZD which I'm managing and that's probably it for the rest of the week due to work taking away screen time.

Jeez... I've gotta stick it to the man some day soon!

Hi Strat and other fellow traders,

I have a few questions:

1) As I was reading the thread it was emphasized that the higher time frames are easier to beat (require less precision in timing entries) - Will a switch to 1H/4H/D1 give me much better chances to be profitable in the long run?

2) I saw many posts about stealing pips in countertrends , I guess thats unprofitable since nobody posts these anymore?

3) How important is it if price is trapped inside the WCC when trading the M5?

4) Is this entry ok? I don't like that its so far away from the SS...

Terry I noticed that one last Friday night after the markets closed. But isn't that just a corrective swing forming? Looking back it's obvious anyone who works the smaller time frames made some easy profits, but for those who trade the daily is it not a situation to wait until price hits the ema's and gains fresh momentum for a new high?

please share your thoughts on this or how you have treated that SS at the WCC resistance.

GBPJPY - Sell

Just a little cheeky one before I hit the road...

It's always interesting looking back at a chart and wondering why I couldn't trade it. I couldn't trade this one earlier because it felt like I was chasing it.

There are some obvious entries in hindsight but had I taken them at the time they would have been more like breakout trades which is what I am avoiding taking... unless it occurs with a PASR setup.

Might be back Friday..

""Easier to beat"" - I don't understand

Will a switch to 1H/4H/D1 give me much better chances to be profitable in the long run?

I don't know. I don't know your trading circumstances or capabilities. This is why you have to experiment to find your ""own"" style of PASR

I saw many posts about stealing pips in countertrends , I guess thats unprofitable

Counter trend trading is only profitable for experienced traders and even then, is a losing strategy in the long run

How important is it if price is trapped inside the WCC when trading the M5?

Its only importance is to mark those levels on M5 in the event there is some extreme news which drives PRICE beyond its normal ATR range.

Is this entry ok? I don't like that its so far away from the SS...

No, it is way too late

That is a long way off................yet. Stick at it, keep doing what you're doing and DO NOT BE DISTRACTED by others now that you have got your motor running.

Wild Thing wants to know why you are not trying to trade the longer time frames?

I've been making the most of some screen time which has allowed me to day trade. I think this has allowed me to sharpen up my level spotting quite quickly, so not a bad thing and hopefully will stand me in good stead for the longer term trades.

Also my circumstances may change soon where I'll have to drop 5 min trading and move up anyway(really hope not because I love it), so Trogger watch out you may have a new trading buddy!

But seriously I intend to get some trades under my belt and ideally get the best of both worlds.

Cheers!
