{quote} I was selling on EURNZD, I was too hasty on the second trade and in hindsight it may have been a "revenge" trade after it took my original stop out on trade one. I wasn't emotional or thought about it that way at the time though but maybe the little people had a poke at me.... Your lines... so we are looking the angle of the shadow now pointing in the wrong direction of my trade with a fast momentum of the 20 heading up but the 72 almost flat lining with no momentum. It's either going to change direction or more likely go into a range, hence...

Make sure you are READING THE CANDLES in EVERY SINGLE TRADE you place - you can't just let your trade run to support and hope for the best. Your goal this year is to CLOSE/TAKE PROFIT each trade BEFORE your Stop Loss kicks in. When you can do that you will accelerate your PROFIT curve.

So, on EURNZD, look at "1" - do you SEE the long tail? Do you know what that is telling you?

Look at "2" - do you SEE what that candle is? Do you know what that is telling you?

Look at "3" - do you SEE that long tail below support? Do you know what that is telling you?

Now look at "X" - Do you know what that is telling you?

Now look at "4" - Do you know what that is telling you?

It's as clear as day to me now, holding trades to my original stop loss might be good to practice discipline but not great for equity which makes it an expensive and flawed habit.

I think I'm getting your point about seeing beyond the candles, it's making sense.

Your feedback is golden. Thank you!

I didn't trade this one but after reviewing your post I checked the other time frames and there was also a great opportunity to enter on H1 the night before using Strat's tools.

Perfect bearish signal at 2100 hrs ET, doesn't get much stronger than this. I will start reviewing H1 on my pairs before retiring looking for repeat performances of this pattern. The majority of the price move was through the night but carried over to the NY session as well.

So far would have produced +130 pips

Amazing Detailed Candles Speech

In Fact i customize my chart, i like to trade background black (im a intraday trader and i like it, so i stay watching my charts minium 2-3hrs.. with the white background my eyes start hurting me)

And the outsidecandles but specially the "Wick" "Tails" i set it VERY WHITE with size 2. And when those "tails" appear in my "trading chart" inmeaditly i draw a rectangle and start watching my higher timeframes S/R if there fits with something... If im arriving to a S/R Zone Higher Timeframe... is a warning and something is going to happen soon. Hahah is crazy but i know im reading the Candles and i dont look "Candles" i now i can watch the Buyers and Sellers in Action.

Hey Kohari,

Thanks for your response
I noticed that too. I also noticed that in the past, price has been much further away from the 20 ema and still continued the up/down moves. I decided that I would have taken the trade anyways because I put more weight on the confluence of the WCC resistance and the daily S/R, and the recent wicks that penetrated the S/R area I drew than the 20 ema being far away. I can see though, that waiting for another test of the support (if that happens) with PA, when the 20 ema catches up would be a better trade.

Beautiful shot! It was head and shoulders pattern, also seen on H4, which increased the chances of working out, plus it was rejected by Strat Shadow 72ema there as well (on H4). Not to mention it was rejecting the low of a former WCC, the W1 26 November candle. Powerful confluence you spotted there. It happened during my midnight sleep, so I did not take it either.

Hi, good day everyone.
I have been trading Ripple (XRPUSD) lately. It created new high everyday as if it will never come down. This morning I spotted the red candle in the daily chart due to negative news.

Then I noticed that this drop stopped right at the low of yesterday candle. So I switched to H1 to have a closer look. I drew a support and resistance line at 2.4831 (my chart).

At M5, I started to study the chart and a trendline and another support and resistance line were insert.

When I saw the price broke above the trendline and reversed down I started following the candles. My first entry was after the candles rejected the 2.5962 support line the second time. The second entry was after the candle closed above the Strat Shadow.

Sorry, I can only explain in words as I still don't know how to insert arrow in the chart after it was uploaded.

Recently Open Daily Trade? i dont know if that is the word... sometimes i open my trade in 5 minutes... and if appear my entry signal in higher timeframe i just leave it and change TF to higher timeframe and start managing it on higher timeframe.

Im reading about the Psychology and i think my mind doesnt fit with trading only Daily Charts.. i just tried in Forex Pairs and i dont get it.. i dont know why... so stay with my intraday trading of dowjones.. and only USDMXN for long term... I cant trade more pairs because my mind just freeze.. i dont know why, maybe that is my psychology and is hard for me. So i stop and better stay with my Intraday Trading applying what i have learn about PSAR.

With my thinking, if i leave open my trade the weekend, is going to be my first time that im going to do that haha. I know that can be a negative or positive GAP but i dont know what is the safe thing.

Other thing i dont know if i was correct in close my trade before NFP and open again 5 minutes later. I really i dont see any high impact in the market, is my first time that i watch that News trading DowJones because i start working at 9:30am my intraday trading.

BTW this is an example of my Daily Chart in DowJones US30. And for real, now i can see buyers vs sellers and how to detect asap ranging markets for buy and sell in a range...

The Brown Line is where my avarages orders are, in fact is in there because i close my trade before NFP and open a little less contracts than my original contracts.

When trading the daily time frame and above, there is no need to close orders for the weekend as long as you are not trading CHF or crude oil.

Step By Step

Basic PASR with 20,100EMA & 50,250SMA in Trend or in Range in D1,

Hello Mr. Strat and everybody!
I m carrying out my plan from Dec 28, 2017 learning PASR step by step
Today I‘m presenting p.1 from my plan.

1. Build-up BASIC-PASR-Knowledge
I have read 100 pages from old Strat-Thread & 100 pages from James16 thread!
Now my basic knowledge is enough to speak about and to trade Basic-PASR. I make a small PASR-report and hope Mr. Strat will correct my mistakes and give me a confirmation for further step in my learning process.

PASR strategy is very successful and profitable and has produced many CONSISTENTLY PROFITABLE traders …. It is a total method. It revolves around PRICE ACTION at SUPPORT and RESISTANCE.
It is not just PRICE bouncing off SUPPORT and going to RESISTANCE or vice versa. It is about WATCHING what PRICE does at these important PRICE levels.
With the agreement and co-operation of Forex Factory (thank you, Twee), we are returning to the TRADING SYSTEMS forum as originally started on February 27,...

Basic-PASR is a stress free strategy for reverse trading on D1. D1 is controlled from W1 and Mn Time frames.
Special rules and basic, modernized by Mr. Strat Charts-Tools filled with new sense and Ideas make this strategy very strong.
PA-Basic: All Charts are free from any Indicators.

The best indicator I have is between my ears

The Moving Averages are used here have other sence, the make no entry signals. I‘ll speak about later.
We trade PASR with only developed by Mr. Strat special Candles pattern, see picture1. This candles always have to be placed near the key-S/R-levels on D1. Any candle on any chart is always faster than any indicator or EA.

We have to learn the basic price reversal candles – Hammer, Shooting Star, BUOB, BUEB, BEOB and BEEB, nothing else.
do NOT think about or study other candles or patterns as they are NOT reliable and/or consistent for PASR trading.

There is a volatility table for pairs made by Mr. Strat here, with the best possibilities for D1 trading, see picture 2.

At first I plan to trade only 3 pairs: GBPNZD, USDCAD and GBPUSD
Good day
