I just recently discovered this pair. It has a pretty tight spread and seems to behave technically. If anybody else is trading this pair - lets start a thread and help each other learn.

It has 55 pip average daily trading range. That's why the spread is tight. Means that your profits will be small as well.
Compare this with EURUSD at 85 pips, GBPJPY at 136 pips.
Risk is small but so is reward. It should respond to all USD announcements. Not sure what else though.
Looks like it is most active midnight, 6AM and midday London time.
Cheers, H

I live in Singapore, so I'm aware of this pair. Don't really trade it much though.

Does anyone here have experience of day trading the USDSGD?

I have been looking at it recently because the price action seems (to me) to be "cleaner" than the majors, it looks like it should be easier to join a move.

I am in the UK and trying to develop a strategy for short-term trading in the late Asian session and London open (from around 04.30 to 09.00 daily) - to fit around my day job.

On icMarkets the spread on USDSGD is often similar or even lower than GBPUSD in the Asian session.

Or is there going to be too much risk of slippage to make this worthwhile on a small timeframe? I've noticed gaps and strange data prints such as the below:

Thanks!
