I just rang them, I'm on the list - guy told me that money will be send tomorrow, however then he said it should be within a week time - to be honest as soon as I'm on the list I don't care that much as I know that eventually I will get paid.
Ignored

you hope

just got a mail replay:

Alpari (UK) Limited (in special administration) (the "Company")
This email is in relation to your previous query made to the Alpari Claims Inbox relating to timeframes for payment.

I can confirm that your details have been passed onto the FSCS for payment; the Joint Special Administrators understand from FSCS that FSCS will be making payments imminently, or in any case within the next seven working days. All payments will be made either to your nominated bank account using the bank information that you provided on the Claims Portal or, if you opted for your compensation to be paid to your ETX Capital account, then payment will be made to ETX Capital accordingly.

You will receive further communication from the Joint Special Administrators once payment has been made, or if there are any further bank details required from you in order to complete your payment.

If you receive no communication regarding payment within the next 10 working days, please contact us at this email address.

Yours faithfully
for Alpari (UK) Limited

Well if KPMG is prepared to put this in writing it is a positive.

This confirms what FSCS have been telling us when phoning them.

The end seems to be near.....

How about any ex Alpari client in Asia that choose to receive payment via FSCS to ETX are they already receive the payment?

I feel that their payment distribution time table drag us quite a long time(now coming into the 6th months)

I do not feed excessive expectations, since I got my first group sible write, but money is not.
My question is, why that was not the response template:

Dear Balogh Laszlo
Thank you for your recent enquiry about Alpari (UK) Limited.
As you may be aware, FSCS is a rescue fund, which deals with claims for compensation against UK Regulated Financial Services Providers where:
 The firm is no longer trading, and
 It is unable (or likely to be unable) to meet claims itself. This is usually because they do not have sufficient funds to meet claims.
Alpari (UK) Limited entered the Special Administration Resolution regime on 19 January 2015. Richard Heis, Samantha Bewick and Mark Firmin of KPMG have been appointed Joint Special Administrators (JSAs).
Regrettably there was an unexpected delay in the processing of your compensation payment. We believe this has now been resolved and that the payment has now been made to your designated bank account recorded on the Joint Special Administrators claims portal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
If you have any further questions, about our role, please telephone us on +44 (0)20 7741 4100 or Freephone 0800 678 1100. Or e-mail us at [email protected].
Any personal information you provide us with will be retained by the Scheme for future reference in accordance with our data protection policy, which is on our website or available on request.
Yours sincerely
Tom Sheffield

OK, Come on now, give the FSCS a break !

What people don't seem to realise is that the FSCS is not a private company operated for profit, they are funded by the tax payer, the UK tax payer, so all those from abroad should consider this before being too quick to judge. I'm sure many a British tax payer would not object to all of us trading through a foreign based brokerage in future.

Additionally, the FSCS can only work with the data given them by KPMG. If KPMG drag their heels (as has been seen to be in their interests given they are charging by the hour) then this will have a knock on effect to you in terms of payment date. Obviously all eyes are on the FSCS as they will ultimately make the disbursements, but ask yourself, would you really like to be stuck between KPMG and hundreds of thousands of irate customers ? Some of whom don't have particularly good English and all of whom consider themselves to have a god given right to reimbursement, in full, immediately.

In my humble opinion it's KPMG who are the villains here - millions of dollars, nearly 6 months, and a f**k you attitude to this day. Yes we'd all like our money, soon rather than later, but surely the moral of this story is: Don't trade with money you can't afford to walk away from.

The good news is that having spoken to the FSCS yesterday I am assured they are working their way through a couple hundred thousand "second tranche" payments this week and next. let's hope that most of us receive satisfaction by close of business next Friday.
