I wouldn't talk about crocks if it was just you and i trading with all the other retail traders .
But even that we have a legit h&s pattern , it's not going anywere , and just chopped up and down to cause you to get out of position.
There supposed to be 1.07 already , but they want to Crouse alone.

A pattern is not a given 'prophecy' for price to move in that direction bro. At the end of the day, this is a game of probability. 'Patterns' are traded because there is a high probability of price moving in the ensuing direction and a repeat-history of said movement happening over and over again. But it's not a guarantee that it will happen. For every successful h&s patterns that played out, you could probably pick out 10 more set-ups that failed.

I would totally agree with Moty about the "crocks" manipulating the markets at the close, but I am almost sure it is not the large players doing this, but the retail guys like us that caused the dip at the end of the week and skew the daily and weekly close. The cost of financing these trades is significant, not enormous but enough in a range market for most players to just wait and re-enter their long positions on Monday. I was tempted and in fact wished I had done that in hindsight. However, not listening to my base instincts has usually been right. Wouldn't be surprised at a large gap open up Sunday/Monday.
Will the demonstrations in France, which also reached Belgium and the Netherlands, affect in your opinion on the euro and how ?
Technically, I dont think the demonstration in France will have an impact on the euro
The yellow vests are trying to block access to Rungis - the largest food wholesale market in the world. Without it there won't be enough food in Paris for a day.

At some point the inability of European politicians to address real problems will start to have scary economic impacts, and I think we are not far off.

Short term I am still bear until my strategy is killed for the market then I will change to bullish long term 1.40.

I only see fractals and the levels that I find out are some quite diff of the rest. Anyway, for now there is too much cogestion to see a pivot and range bwt 1.12 and 1.15 it is more likely until FED hike. For now these are the fractal I have to consider:

moty all traders in the world pray for some volatility so that price moves and they can trade this movement.

the political events and the brexit vote will give this volatility next week, try to grab as much as you can , once christmas sets oin volatility will disappear and price will not move much

I think trading chart patterns, technicals, price action is the best way to go when nothing much is going on in the way of news. But on some occasions, when something pretty major is going on, you can throw all the rest of it out the window. Like what's happening in France (and spreading elsewhere). In my opinion, THAT is far more likely to cause price to move in a given direction (mostly down) than anything the "technicals" might be showing. "Oh, it busted right through that strong support... and the trend line... and the long-term MA... and..." Well DUH!

Gotta disagree. I think the late movement was people closing longs and opening shorts in anticipation of what was predicted to happen over the weekend in France and elsewhere.

The thing that's really telling is how much of Western media, especially in the US, are not covering this. The reason being, they're terrified to admit what one of the main causes is. While, it's about higher taxes, lower income and the like, for sure... the main reason those issues are NOW being felt more sharply is that while at the same time normal citizens are starting to feel the pinch, their "leaders" are inviting in more and more immigrants, and often promising them benefits when they come. So I don't know why these protests surprise anyone. The anger that's been building up was bound to be released eventually... and I think things will get much worse before they get better.
Based on Daily, price now arrived on the classic 50 sma. I am not using that moving average for many reasons but since many do, yes the robber banks will act accordingly. That's one reason why price might have stalled now. But based on my green 49 WMA (Shift:1) candles are now above it (this line on daily sits currently at 1.1374) and in bull territory.

Therefore, based on looking at the situation on Daily and H1 together, I would like to see that support at 1.1375/85 zone breaks before switching back to bearish. Otherwise I am still planning to trade mixed without a specific bias.

Yea ,, no shit ,,thats trading bud ,, its a chess match between levels ,, and the mkt is supposed to be at 1.07 the mkt dont have to do anything ,, now consider this ,, from where it started the year to where it is the big trend is your friend down move is at about 1 .2 pip a day ave price move lower a day ,, if you took from high to its low a little over 2 and yet in that time 150 has been thrown out and parity has been mentioned yet here it is ,,, . It dont go anywhere fast thats why its called trading ,,thats where that little list of daily givens comes in ,, catch the theme of the day in the little weekly swings and take your profit ,,then repeat . You have to decide bud ,, you gonna approach it with all the trading themed garbage ,,the fundis ,, the investment terminology ,, watching 6 hundred different things and trying to see what fits in with the mkt moves,, or you going to mark a few lines be in and out use it for your cash machine no matter which way its moving ,, it always going to move between support and resistance sometimes several times the same thing till one or the other lets go then its just to the next level . Your basing everything on what you think it should do ,, pays more if you if trade what it is actually doing ,, the world around us has been in constant chaos since it began,, will be till it ends , does it affect the mkt ,, sure but not in the way most think,, the mkt is still going to work between sup and res

I don't disagree, and no I know you're not a troll - I hold your views with high regard. I personally don't trade 'patterns' for the very same reasons you mentioned, and I gave the '1 in 10' ad an arbitrary reference to explain why I don't believe in using said patterns to define price direction. And yes, 1 in 10 is not a 'high probability' but pattern traders heavily believe in it anyway.
