As many others that started posting, mines just to really keep a part of my busy mind and work on a little test I'm doing on a 5 min strategy on EUR/USD using EMA's 8, 5, 22, 52 and 200.
I'll just be posting entries and exits to start with and if there is any promise in the strategy... well... it's so basic that we won't even need to discuss it. I'm extremely busy with my other trading and businesses so please excuse me if I take time in getting back to any questions.
The point is to make around 20 pips on the crossing of the 5 with the 200 line. The 8 and 22 are also entry ops when they cross 200. Stop loss is still being tested but a safety of 30 pips is put in for now. Brief backtests show that it usually gets to 20 pips profit on the 5 EMA first anyway. The 8 EMA usually seems to burt in a few more pips and therefore takes the reward higher than the risk.
Trades seem to last about 10-15 mins or more.
A secondary entry is when the 22 crosses the 52 ONLY in the direction of the 200 EMA. SL 30 for now. Also target is 20 pips.
Yes I know SL is more than the targeted 5 EMA pip rate but as I said it's a test for now until a pattern emerges where a suitable stop loss will go.
No flamming, silly comments or unproductive words. Lets all hum in harmony and just see what happens to this little experiment.
P&L will be listed here too.
I haven't come up with a cool, Hollywood name for this but if you insist... hmm "Rapid Fire" How's that sound? Might create a squel if it goes well at the boxoffice
All the best with your trades.
Brad
