To the OP or any others here... Why am I getting the alert to upgrade to a later version when I just downloaded the version on post 1? Thanks in advance for any suggestion {image}
Check which version you have installed.
The current version is 1.13.
You have that warning (I think) for this reason alone. The OP to notify and facilitate the upgrade, open the browser on the first post where there is the update.

Just to confirm that I have no problems.
- I have three graphs of different pairs, with STS installed.
- Loading warnings are correct.
- By double clicking on an indicator, I see that the installed version is 1.13.
- My Mt4 is up to date.
It is certainly strange that your warning refers to an older version (1.11).
Try with the indicator I fetched from my MT4, but first:
- delete the version you have
- restart Mt4
- install my copy
- restart Mt4.
Hope you can solve this problem.

If I'm not mistaken, I have been using this indicator for about two years. From my experience (on excessive computer load) I can say that, the old STG version, used on a computer with Celeron, 4Gb of ram, more than 10000 bars displayed, 28 pairs in the Market Watch and several "heavy" indicators, yes ... in fact in fast moments of the market, the HD suffered a little (fan at a thousand and up to 90% of cpu usage). For about a year now, I've switched to a more ... "professional" computer, and even tripling the use of graphics, I'm now (of course) under 15% cpu and the fan rarely turns on.
You are a veteran, so excuse me if my advice is banality. In this case, I hope this info will be useful to other Traders.
I had found significant improvements in these ways:
- in the Market Watch, keep only the couple (s) active
- set a maximum number of 5000 bars in the MT4 settings
- the encoding of the latest Metaeditors, doubles / triples the size of the .ex4. If some indy or EA you use are as old as mine and you have mq4, code them with the old Metaeditor (version 500 if I remember correctly). They work perfectly and your computer of any power will thank you.
- (I hope that the translation of the entries is correct) in the indicator settings (where not necessary for operation) disable these three parameters for a lighter use of the HD: allow DLL imports, allow external expert imports, show in the data window. For example, only the first two must be active for STS
- if you have indicators that contain "Back_Bars" or similar, enter a max of 125
- delete all indicators from MT4 that you don't use and (for sure) all mq4
- reset the history of the bars every now and then. They build up over time by slowing down the platform, recreating it again (only) for use with Renko. Otherwise it creates itself
- Enjoy a portable MT4, which is certainly lighter for the computer. With my last installation being 2 and a half months old with: 2 Experts ... 77 indicators ... 16 scripts and a history for 28 pairs of 2147483647 bars each, I have a size of around 60MB.
In the past, I've read about Trader with Mt4 over 500MB. So a beauty difference
PS:
Lastly, undo all unnecessary toolbars and options you never use. This is an example screen of an MT4 displayed in full screen and that an experienced Trader should have in front of their eyes (in this case without charts).
