hi...
I have a question...does everyone who comes up with an indicator run a check over a few hours or so to make sure the indicator is doing what it should do...reason I ask is...
I changed an indicator..it was only a bar counting type indicator like the momentum indicator but I changed the calculation at the end..and that was it..no dramas...
BUT I started to notice that the bars on the indicator showing as a historgram were now and then messed up..the previous bars were fine and the bars following were fine...in my book meaning the calculation was working fine....except for the 1 -2 bars now and then that printed wrong....
when applied to a new chart the bars displayed right...when on the old chart I re-compiled, it looked right...again
But something was not right...and I still dont have a clue yet...
So my trust in what gets shown on an indicator is slowly reducing...
as I said..the indicator was just a basic bar counting one nothing flash.
Note:..the lack of any replies is a worry....I was thinking maybe it was something simple that I did not take into account.....but maybe its just that in the past nobody has actually checked the indicators are doing and printing the values they are suppose to...
