I am a 20 years veteran software analyst and developer. I have more than 5 years developing automated forex strategies for MT4.

if you can show me a proven consistent track record of at least 6 months of genuine trading either manually or semi-manually I will program it for you totally free.

Would you then use the system only for yourself or go with the EA then commercial/sell it? How can a trader know, that he can "trust" you?

You can't, nor do I know if I will be wasting my precious time and effort for nothing.

Right now, I'm just trying to find out if there is indeed something out there, among retail or pro traders that is worth automating.

The work's direction in terms of its outcome is secondary to me, I'm opened to whatever the owner of the profitable concept prefers and agrees to do as a team before he/she has provided me the knowledge to automate it for him/her.

By default, I'd want to have the right of using and technically maintaining the system for both of us. Nothing more.

Please do not post your personal email in forums. Use the PM functionality instead.

Keep in mind that the only way I'll look at any system is if you provide the required evidence I mentioned in the thread title. I'm flooded with requests for coding all types of systems all the time, and most of them are doomed to be dumped into the thrash can where they belong (not saying yours is one of them).

You are asking him to program an EA using an indicator that repaints?!!
I am launching a funding campain in case anyone is able to help financially to develop a new EA from scratch.
I am dead serious in this endehavior and wil do all that I can to bring this to life in the following months.

who has more bargaining power? The person with the profitable strategy or the coder? There are millions of programmers look to India, China but very few with a profitable strategy.

There are also very few traders with a system that's consistently profitable, manages risk/drawdown sensibly, and is also mechanical enough to be fully automated.

The trader should be willing to pay the programmer an hourly rate, for the reasons I gave here. CodeMeister also makes valid points here IMO.

Give the same strategy to 50 different coders and you'll probably get 50 different results... like everything in life, you both get good, average and excellent professionals in every line of work. Also, generally speaking (and specifically about hiring coders) you get what you pay for, most of the time ...

I agree but problem is when you read his crowdfounding rules. I prefer not comment my opinion

The funding is not intended for the regular retail trader who is looking to build his "100$ to 10K in 6 month", that is not possible with a robot. I have worked in the past with a few wealthy fund managers who were able to pay some reasonable amounts of money just to try their own ideas of a trading robot, just to check if their concept would work or not. I have coded two high frequency EA's to be traded live on 500k managed accounts but I am bound by my ethics and NDA's which I will respect totally, so I can't nor want to use that specific knowledge for my own benefit. Also there are many ways, not a single way.

What I know, is that the single biggest value any EA can have for a wealthy investor is not its capability of generating huge profit but more its control over capital and managed losses. If an investor is able to make 5-10% a year with very small fluctuation in their balance they'll make you their Rockstar!

So, you see, not everyone is able to, but there are wealthy people out there who can fund according to the rules that are laid out. I know my plan is good I just need the time and the resources to bring it to life.

I'll take a look, but I am really busy so you'd catch my interest faster if you'd show me some evidence of consistent profitability within the realm of 5-10%/year (assuming it could be coded to work in auto-pilot), which is basically what I'm defending here as my baseline.

My opinion is everything looks contradictory. But you dont have worry about my opinion because every one is free to make offers and people take it. I only commented because EA crowndfunding surprised me. Its first time I see something like that here

For everything there's a first time.
Where's the contradiction? I have a valid concept for an EA that I believe can make at least 5-10% guaranteed a year if I am able to focus on it, finish the research that I've started and implement the several other concepts that I wasnt' yet able to. The prototype I built yielded gigantic returns on 2007 back test data as is (jst a prototype o the entry rules with a R-factor for exit), but I'm not after that, 2005 and 2006 were losing years, and I didn't test the others yet, I want to keep years 2008 to 2016 as second level backtest data (outsample) to remve lookahead bias, so I haven't touched them. More importantly, I want consistency every year.

Now, I am also taking any additional idea that anyone who's already consistent may bring to the research table, that's why I'm here writing this. If anybody can add anything he's already using and is willing to bring it onboard then I'll study it, analyze it and see if it can be coupled with my own concepts. We can even partner up or something...

Those who are used to make money are the calculated risk takers... calculated, but still they are risk takers... (I'm not yet one of them, because I was afraid for a long time, but I've met a couple of them and have learned a lot from!)

Even if you don't get it, it's ok. I've been here long enough to know that there's always the doubters who always know better.
I'm fine with that.
