Backtesting can be fun to watch but there is nothing better than live trading.

The system has been profitable for 14 straight months since the beginning.

If you trust systems only with backtest you will find a lot of bad EAs. Backtesting is not always accurate.

I have seen a lots of this accounts, for me an EA which has 10 years profitable back test + 1 or 2 years of profitable forward test is the good one and I would invest on it .
This here is one of the better EA's I have seen.
Although the RR is grossly imbalanced (large stop, small reward); but for the time being it seems to be working.
The draw-down to date is very attractive. But there is no guarantee it will stay that way.

It s a provocative question and a provocative answer...just look on mql5 there are several EAs with explained strategies which can be tested backwards(and maybe some on demo)... So no need to cry...or be jealous.... Just what I wrote....hard work is required.... i coded several EAs but the most of the people not even did a backtest and optimize the parameters...nothing more to say...

Could the thread starter be a little specific of what kind TE does he looking for exactly... Profitability is rather wide term...
What kind of PROFIT (how big), within what DrawDown and what timeframe are we talking about? Any additional criteria? Like volume, number of trades or whatever?
Because if profitability alone is criteria, meaning % return... Once can just open account, deposit 100USD, do a "coin-flip"... make DOUBLE and outperform most of the market for 10years So please specify, at least a bit...

There are so many forex expert advisors that it becomes difficult to choose the best one. Trying out some different expert advisors I can suggest these 3 : 1000pip climber, Maxscalper and CabEx. Rest depends on your choice. You can choose any other expert advisor also based on their good reviews.
