I was hoping to start a conversation about everyone's favorite Twitter accounts to follow for market moving Tweets. Just recently discovered the vast wealth of building a Twitter Feed for breaking news, but I feel like I'm missing the boat. There's got to be more than what I currently have. The goal is to be poised and ready for that next market moving Tweet.. for example @realDonaldTrump, which has shown to be very lucrative to follow. Any other zingers similar to him?
Keep in mind, I haven't really vetted any of these. I'm sure many on my list are pretty useless for Forex day trading. I have already:
@stevenmnuchin1
@Brexit
@theresa_may
@jpmorgan
@bpolitics
@MorganStanley
@waltervannelli
@MerrillLynch
@MarkitEconomics
@TheBubbleBubble
@GoldmanSachs
@Barclays
@ReutersInsider
@USTreasury
@CreditSuisse
@ecb
@stlouisfed
@markets
@Livesquawk
@DeutscheBank
@UBS
@50Pips
@business
@4xguy
@PIMCO
@FXstreetNews
@federalreserve
@IMFNews
@realDonaldTrump
@ForexLive
@bankofengland
@zerohedge
@faithmight
@TheEconomist
@Reuters
I know its already a bit overkill, but thats OK. I'm just going to remove the ones that are useless when I can determine if they are good or not. It's too bad most RSS feeds are all sorts of screwed up in regards to latency. Even with OwlRSS, where I can set the refresh sync to 10 seconds, it still doesn't matter because most of the RSS feeds for the major wires take up to an hour after the news has been published to refresh their RSS with it. I truly see it as an afterthought on most sites. Including Forex Factory, where it doesn't update at all or very unreliable or spotty if at all:
http://cdn.rss.forexfactory.net/news/all.xml
http://cdn.rss.forexfactory.net/news/breakingnews.xml
I went ahead and put the money down for Ransquawk and they have been pretty good, but I feel like I'm missing quite a bit of the market moving information. They tend to focus on the major stuff and usually I can get it from them very quickly, but a lot of the time there's a big market move and then they come on 4 minutes later saying... OK THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.
Really, I'm just trying build a list of items to surveillance. Central Bank members, etc. I don't know how or where to watch the speeches, which would be nice. Really.. what I want is to have access to exactly what Ransquawk does. It takes a LOT of time to build an infrastructure as they have and to be able to "cut out the fat" as they do and focus in on real market moving news, etc.
It would have been nice to have a working RSS feed for Forex Factory because I have always thought that the news items were relatively complete on the feed. The only RSS feed that I have actually seen work in Real Time is ForexLive.com. Almost every other feed I monitored (on a different list) of the main news services were so incredibly late that I could go to the gas station and back before it updated on the RSS or longer. And of course the opportunity to profit has long passed.
I know the big market movers have very nice setups to watch key items during their trading hours. I'm just blinding flailing around to see if I can find some of the good ones, because I have NO IDEA where to look.
Perhaps someone would be gracious to give some lists of their goodies? Websites, feeds, twitter accounts, video feeds, etc?
Thanks
