No ET that is why I am asking North Finance makes a Sunday candle and the entry times may be different when I compare to my FXDD demo that doesn't make a Sunday candle. They don't match. I do like the tighter spreads with North Finance but not if the eMAs will be different. Maybe I'll use the mt4 for charts and place orders with my Oanda platform that has probably the tightest spreads, but they don't have trailing stops. I am more concerened about the Sunday data skewing the EMA entries. What do you think Slade?

Longboat,

I just got back from the holidays. I have to say, I feel much more safe in front of my computer! But that is a very good point about the Sunday candles that I hadn't thought of at all. I'll look into that. As far as Oanda spreads; you're right. But, there is no mobile platform unless you have Windows Mobile 5 or 6, so that isn't real appealing to me. But I guess that is pretty much the same for running moblie MT4. But that is the beauty of getting email alerts. Once you have them, you can make the trade with any broker on any platform. I'm still trying to gauge who I am going to place all of my money with to give me ultimate freedom and trust when I want and need to trade only with a Blackberry or smartphone. Decisions..

As I knew would happen, by setting trailing stops on some of my positions I took profit, but would have banked alot more pips if I didn't. Oh well, still a good week. Sorry I couldn't help with the candles, but you have helped bring it to my attention.

Cheers to everyone for the week ahead.

Pip,

Glad you're on board and I see that you had a 151 pip run there. I congratulate you. But I will warn you that where you entered this trade is somewhere I would never enter. I only enter when the 18 crosses the 45 EMA. There is no indicator here that says your short won't turn north. Wisdom tells us it will continue to go south, but that is just based on pure faith. I would recommend looking at about 10 pairs, getting in and out at the right times and seeing how your results go. I know you have a stop loss or trailing stop, so maybe this is enough security for you. Either way, welcome aboard. Just thought I would give you my two cents about entry positions with this system.

Cheers

XL,

Not sure what you mean by template. Are you referring to the overall strategy? If so, check the first post and the following examples. If that isn't it, keep asking questions and I will try to answer as concise as possible.

Welcome aboard, cheers.

A template is your entire set up and layout on MT4. Just go to charts and template and save as, then give it a name then go to the program files find the file and post it.

XL,

Sorry, brain fatigue. Template is attached. I see something brewing on one of the pairs that I will post about in a second.

Hope this helps.

Just got this buy signal for the GBPUSD that I have been watching for a long time. If you had used this system and followed the sell signal that was given back on December 13th, you would have cashed around 550 pips. I'll take that any day for a 13 day period. Especially since this is only one pair. I hope this isn't a whipsaw that will have us trending down in the future. But as always, I follow the signals. Good luck everyone, sleep is calling.

Heck no! Don't be intimidated by that jealous RSI! On a more serious note; now that I've learned to trust the EMAs, It has to be REALLy extreme for me to not get it on a trade. A great example is the sell signal that was given for the USDJPY on Dec 11th. Now that is where I know it might be too late to get it.

Buy this one with confidence, and reverse when told. This trading system is becoming more and more like a marriage. Just do what we're told..

Bdis,

You need Metatrader 4 software if you are going to use the custom indicator that gives audio and email alerts. It's free and can be downloaded Here.

EMAs are moving averages, and this Snap Crackle Pip system is based on an 18 and 45 day moving average cross system. You don't have to trade this system with Meta Trader 4, but if you would like to get the alerts you need to. Otherwise, you can just monitor 1hr charts closely and buy when the 18 EMA crosses up over the 45, and sell when the 18 EMA crosses down across the 45.

If you have any more questions I would read the first posts in this thread to get a head start. Glad you're into the system, and I'm sure all of the people on this post will be very helpful for you also.

King,

I only use the 1hr timeframes. Another member suggested trying the 4hr timeframes, and I thought that was a great idea. I think there will be too many false positive trades if this system is adapted to smaller times. As for the results, see this post for a good stretch that I reported. I have two great open trades right now (EURGBP, GBPUSD) that seem to have some running room. I would be in alot more, but leaving for the holidays I set up trailing stops that made me prematurely get out of good trades.

Cheers and good luck.

Great training videos on using metatrader. They call it Velocity Trader but it is actually metatrader.
