Disliked{quote} something i ask for a while why a forex broker cant do. they could...but they would not. bad for business. obviously.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Why bad, ? If they only take commissions it should not be bad for them at all... Yeah I wished they had such a option . It's worth considering to change software.... If it's possible at an other platform .Ignored
Disliked{quote} for every observation that i make, i run it on 3 months of previous trade data on NQ and CL. Don't ask why i pick CL, just needed something that not correlated to see how robust it is. If it's a legit repeatable observation on these 2 markets without contradicting existing rules, then it'll be added. And I totally understand the danger of overfitting a strategy. But I like to think that I approach it from a top down view. It's not like I say "hmm..i got stopped using 20 tick stop..let's try 25 ticks..ok it works!". That's just a random change.My...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I apologize if I suggested that you have fear. You are not that guy. You are the guy that gets pissed and doubles his positions size on the next, hastily taken trade. What I do is when a setup fails, I will take that as an RBS situation. Especially if it is a one two three or a 2b(which I call an "A" trade). So if I use a stop order, my next order will have to be a limit order. It forces me to not take consecutive trades. Something else I will do is if get stopped, right then and there I will try to figure out why I got stopped, which also...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Sometimes It may "seem" like i'm putting bigger sizes on the next trade, but it's just the way that i trade convergence/divergence methods. Convergence (range) trading require a bit more room for trades to work itself. It's a range, i can't trade tight stops. It's usually smaller size but sometimes i trade bigger size if i'm buying on the extreme side of a momentum Divergence (trend/breakout) require a quick flip switch cause it's usually fast (in case of breakout) or it needs heavy size (in a trend). Ultimately i'm an aggressive trader....Ignored
Disliked{quote} just curious if you feel variable position sizing is your edge towards positive expectancy? By this I mean, is it possible to convert a losing fixed contract strategy into a winning variable contract trading keeping every element of the strategy as is? Trade management (i.e. scale in/out, etc) can be an edge towards positive expectancy?Ignored
Dislikedvwap is THE indicator of choice for algo and institution. If you want to have a foundation in your strategy, this indicator would be it. The evidence is not coming from stupid youtube videos or shady articles; there are literally many studies done in academic setting that uses this to run trading models. BUT, you cannot use this indicator in a non regulated market..the data (volume) has to be legit https://web.stanford.edu/~boyd/papers/pdf/vwap_opt_exec.pdf https://www.cis.upenn.edu/~mkearns/papers/vwap.pdf http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.735.4239&rep=rep1&type=pdf...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hey man, have you done any directional analysis in your stats in relation to vwap based trades? Meaning are long trades more profitable than short? By session, by fade/breakout, by deviations etc etcIgnored

DislikedHere's what going into next month as far as journal goes 1. track performance of setups (by tags). After reviewing them again, i've been able to narrow down to these with their respective contract range: {image} R=fade (range). (M) indicates it's a fade taken in direction of overall momentum T=trend BT=breakout/trend combo F=FOMO breakout each category has conservative and aggressive elements (size, risk, and targets). 2. #session tracking (asian 9p-259a, EU 3a-859a, US 9a-3p). Ditching ROMAD and going with net PF and edge ratio (mfe/mae) for quantifying...Ignored
