doubt in mt4 programming and ADX

hI,

I am trying to calculate the ADX value for a currency pair and i used the following commands in Mt4:
adval = iADX(NULL,PERIOD_M1,14,PRICE_CLOSE,MODE_MAIN,0);
Print("adval", adval);

but i find that the adval varies widely with every tick....i have tried changing the time period and the applied price but still there is variation for every tick...can anyone tell me why this should be so??

When you say wildly, what do you mean, can you give an example of a series of values?
