personally I agree with the latter one. I think it's safe and u can easily get the trend!!!

Depends on which pair you are trading, and whether you are trading real money, using leverage, etc.

EUR/USD - short term due to low spreads
EUR/AUD - long term due to transparent market movement.

Short-term, you can't make a killing in forex with long-term trades I believe so, short-term a lot more safe for me, but the truth is you have to experience it directly yourself, you'll discover yours

All short term volatilities are random, and usually most times one cannot get the odds on his side. i personally as a trader do consider the longer term outlook when placing my trades such that when the short term outlook goes against me, then i can be somewhat safe later on.
know thy edge and abide by it ! 4 in it shall thou be successful !

I don't trade on anything less than the 1 hour chart. Much easier and smoother to trade.

The likes of Warren Buffet & Bill Williams consider anything less than dailies as too fast!

Macro-economics works quite slowly through the forex market.

In my experience, the most profitable, reliable methods are on longer timeframes (D1 and longer).
