This was meant as an advice to start your thread on the right foot.
It will be better to use some pictures here and there, and also making your mind of where the price may go....
I am not gonna bother your thread further, good luck with it.

Look at current situation for instance. I wrote that we are leaving behind two weak references above. Correct? Now price totally failed above C balance as it retraced completely it. In this particular case I have my plan B as written: remain in balance because price has not the strenght to do something serious and to evade this main POC at 3191. So I do nothing and wait for something in both direction. At least I didn't loose my money in the C balance weak breakout.

{quote} [...] For now I can see that this action is weak because of the weak references it is using(up and down). If you are buying from C period balance you are now in a risky position because price went up and down breakeven multiple time (meaning lack of conviction upwards). At the same time if you are selling the possible failure above C period high you are leaving behind two very weak references so you are acting alongside a weak action.
Ignored
So as you see the right decision (a possible one*) was to stay aside from the C breakout in both directions. Price infact attempted above C high and failed. Then retraced back inside C balance (going right at the opposite side of the balance as normal) but leaving behind two very weak references. So in this case if you made a short from above C you were along side a weak move to the down side. And in fact, from the bottom of the minor balance (initial A B balance) price went up again abruptly (meaning that there was no strenght downside when D retraced back inside C period.)

*Let me say that if you are a fast trader the failure at C breakout could be a good opportunity. But it was clearly a weak one and in order to perform such operations you need to be fast to enter and fast to esc. Let me also add that a bigger opportunity was at B bottom. As you know A B period made the initial balance of any session. So the high and the low of initial balance are generally important refernces for very short timeframe trades. Consequently, even though I generally do not care so much to the initial balance references, when price tests the high or the low of it and fails this is a good short term opportunity and in this case you have also more odds for continuation because you know, right down there, that the move from above C was surely weak, because it was leaving behind 2 weak references in a row. So, again, if you are fast enough, this buy was a licit one, never forgetting what you are leaving behind it.

Now let's see. In order to have continuation above we want to see both the references above taken out and we want to see price confirming above Tokyo high. But, again, do not forget that we are coming from a very weak reference at 31637.

As Jim Dalton was used to say we do not trade price, we trade value. And considering the downside gap and the position of the yesterday GB vlaue, how many possibilities we have to develop today GB session value above or even overlapping yesterday GB value? Not so much, correct? Considering that we have a GB pOC of 7 letters and that the GB session has 10 periods, we never ever can move the poc above.

I'm sorry Don96, I didn't mean to be brutal or unpolite. It is not my style. But there is a lot of pressure when you start a thread and it's very difficult to take care of the guests when at the same time you are performing analysis about market.

The results depends upon your capabilities. I'm not providing entry signals here. I'm doing analysis using market provided information. You have the possibility to use such information in the way you want and need. Maybe you are a fast trader and you can perform a position such as the breakout from C period failure, gaining money from it. Or maybe you used to marry a position and doing such a trade could ruin people like you. How can I know who are you and what are your tendencies and behaviour? And what I can know about others too? So feel yourself at home if you want to observe this thread and making your evaluations about what is written in it, if you like. But, please, do not insist on performances, live trading and so on, this has nothing to do with what I'm trying to do here. Market profile is not a "system" or a "strategy" is only a way to organize and understand market information and data.

Regards, L

PS: obviously I have my strategy but it could be totally different from the multiple strategies other people are following, using exactly the same data I'm writing about in this thread. So I may inform others about what I'm doing but this is not intended in order to be followed by other traders. People could learn about what I'm doing and do exactly the opposite profiting form that. It's fine and I'm happy if this happen.
