v6.44, used slightly different pip setting. More than twice profit as previous post with same small deposit. Very budget friendly EA, wouldn't you say? Please let me know when u get better results. I'm gonna test ATR now. By the way, if nobody shares results, I will discontinue sharing as well. Thanks in advance and Trade well! BoHanna {image} {image} {file}

My terminal tester spread is set to 30 and my pre-set spread is set to 80 for future forward testing. Dont use current spread, instead use 30. It tells the EA not to trade above 30. In forward demo it means not to trade higher than 80 spread. I may just decrease that to 40 myself. It's worth another test....but I hope you get the idea.

By the way, when I post graphs and reports...that's all there is. Nothing else to report. Just try to copy exactly what is reported. I use a 5 digit broker. If that makes a difference then Abokwaik would be more qualified to answer that question. And my timeframe is GMT-5. I'm just throwing darts right now because I know my settings work for me and I want them to work for you too.

Since you're looking for suggestions, nonlinear mentioned something about looking for the most adverse conditions under which the EA performs badly that way one can record when the EA is out of its limits and intervene and also look for remedies to its weakness (es).

This should be the real aim of backtesting IMHO. Optimizing is for the short term.

In short look for adverse conditions where the EA is consistently bad. Post screen shots of the trades taken and let the brilliant minds here use their creativity in abokwaiks terms

Hi Sinqua,

Just not sure I follow you. I backtest and optimize to eliminate the adverse conditions or at least minimize them. That's what the tester is for. A screenshot is worth a thousand words when the question may be as simple as "Are you trading on a pair while the spread is at 200 but your set is at 50?" Hmmm...

In other words...a chart screenshot is not enough information to diagnose the problem. My settings are for GJ only so you can imagine that it takes time to test all 21 pairs. That's why everyone's input/testing is encouraged. Hope that made sense.

After re-reading your post I guess one could be offended by your words. I'm not as brilliant as some others here (mainly Abokwaik). I'm always learning and I'm not seeking what is consistently BAD. I'm seeking what is consistently GOOD. Can your brilliance help us with that? Peace..

To Botan626,
It is not a stupid question. Just wish I remembered the post to refer you to because, honestly, people get tired of answering these types of questions. NEVER BE AFFRAID TO ASK.

I trust you already downloaded the EA. The next step is to put it in the MQL expert folder in your Data Folder file in MT4. Place, copy/or drag it into data folder. Now, close the MetaTrader and re-open it. You should see the downloaded EA in navigator list. Next step is to drag/or double click onto chart you want to trade. Hope that helped. If you already did this, then I suggest being patient. If you are testing GBPJPY like most of us then you will find that it only trades a few times a day depending on your timeframe settings. It can get complicated but the important thing is that you are up and running and can begin testing/learning. Good luck!

BoHanna

Thank you for your reply, BoHanna!

Everything you said is already done, I put it on GJ H4 Chart, default settings. But nothing seem to happen.
