{quote} Thank you for your reply, BoHanna! Everything you said is already done, I put it on GJ H4 Chart, default settings. But nothing seem to happen.

Are you using pip or ATR settings? Sounds like too many variables. If u are using default settings then you might want to cut them in half or quarters. Also, try 30mn with 1hr htf. And always try to appeal to Abokwaik first. This man is a genius in my book.

{quote} Hi Sinqua, Just not sure I follow you. I backtest and optimize to eliminate the adverse conditions or at least minimize them. That's what the tester is for. A screenshot is worth a thousand words when the question may be as simple as "Are you trading on a pair while the spread is at 200 but your set is at 50?" Hmmm...
Ignored
May be you do not follow, it is good to backtest but EA's no matter how optimized will fail at some point...that is what you want to look for? People normally look for rising equity curves and optimize to achieve that, it gives a sense of success but a business focuses on cutting its losses more so backtest

search nonlinear's post here's a quote

"That question is forever debated it seems. First, my personal view is that I want to see the conditions under which the expert does not do well so I know when to shut it down. Everyone wants to look at the good results but the learning is in the poor results."

My ATR is false and I use the same setting like Abokwaik. Just I am trying to reach the same result like CT6.43 14-pairs M30/M5 2%risk.

I've started a live forward test of the cross trader same settings as in the TE(except changed to 1% and not 2%), it's no use testing in demo accounts since the spreads are different

Abokwaik might have to take a look at your settings. I've seen him spot subtle differences in other peoples attempts to copy his results almost immediately. Wish I could help more.

Very good point! With some of those pairs the spread difference is HUGE. Did you take both images at same time of day? Thanks.

And I said "Let it ride and learn from this experience."

I apologize for such short response because I had an experience a few months ago whereas I was trapped in a loss for over a week that would take a good chunk of my previous months profits and I was concerned about a stop out. So I asked for advice similar to yours because I wanted to know if I should close trades, cut losses, and start over. Two wise people agreed that "if you got the balls to wait it out" it should correct itself and that closing the trades and starting over should be the last resort. So "I let it ride" and waited it out. A week later it closed in profit and made up for all previous losses. Wish u good trading Veslup.
