Unlike many EU-based brokers, Australian ones are not covered by any compensation scheme.

I have an Aussie broker and I'm getting out.. UK brokers for me .
Why we trade with Australian brokers? very simple: because most of them give u the best trading conditions. But u are right about the lack of a compensation scheme. So better to spread trading capital on several different brokers
I had an account with Alpari UK..... thanks to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).. i got my money back... it's a big deal for me.

I trade with both UK and AU brokers, but trading conditions on AU brokers are usually better
