Hello everyone.

I hope you have a great weekend! After stumbling over this thread about a week ago, I signed up on ForexFactory, to participate in this lovely thread. I'm about 4 month into trading now and after making me a picture about the tradingstrategys out there, I'm feeling most attracted to the Supply and Demand approach.

Thanks Akt for starting this Thread.It's a real treasure

And to start with, I've got my View on the AUDUSD. Interestingly I am biased towards the other side as Diddyy.

I wouldn't personally have shorted the EURUAD at all simply because as you rightly pointed out, the weekly chart is in an uptrend and is still some way off the SZ
I would be looking for buying opportunities on pullbacks.

I'm not sure on this one. Altough we are closer to weekly demand (not fesh though) I'm more biased on the short side. Maybe I'm wrong here.

Anyway, the weekly zone is adding weight to the 4h dbd zone (at least it's a area of selling). Is this a logical assumption? Does this qualify the 4h zone as valid trade according to the rules?

Hello everyone

A short term income trade take today in the AUDUSD, shared with the guys in the room.
The 4hr chart was used as the big picture chart for the trade.
It was in a sideways range. THe 60min was in an uptrend with price into supply. Following the process, we shorted.

I have a question about targets, 1st target on your chart is 1h dz(around 0.7124)? and 2nd target is 4h dz(around 0/7111)?
and how you calculate R:R in level on level zones, you take full zone or only high or low to calculate r/r targets?

Thank you! It's one thing reading the thread back. It all makes sence. But when it comes to applying this stuff on my own it's a bit more difficult. I'm feeling a bit insecure.
I am currently reading through the thread and handwriting down the rules in my little book still ways to go.

Thank you for the question. It is one that is often asked and we have spoke about a bit in the past.
It relates to what in the methodology is considered to be at these price levels we call zones. The methodology assumes there are orders at these levels

So if we stay with that assumption and build on it for a second. If a zone has orders to buy and orders to sell, what will happen when those orders are filled?
Prices will have to leave the level. Now, the direction in which prices leave the level is determined by which side of the supply-demand equation the orders
lean towards more than the other. If there are more buy than sell orders prices will leave to the upside because all the sell orders will be filled. If there are more sell
orders, prices will leave to the downside because all the buy orders will be filled, leaving only sell orders at that price level.

So case in point, The EURCAD chart you asked about the level. Prices departed that zone and dropped making a lower low at the same time. So within the methodology, the assumption is that the only reason prices dropped is because one side of the supply-demand equation became zero, in this case, buy orders were all filled, leaving only sell orders.

Now, stay with me for a little bit longer - there is a second aspect to the question, one i think you have in mind but didn't ask - the question of tradability of a zone which has to do with the quality of a zone. Not every drop on price is a good place to sell and not every rally in price is a good place to buy.
That is why each zone created, demand or supply should be assessed for quality before any trades are considered at the levels

We calculate targets using the zone
There are too many ways and reasons for choosing or deciding on profit targets that would be hard to go through them all here.
Suffice to say, using opposing zones is definitely a good way to start.
