Hi again People. I have now tried to make, what i think, a decent suply zone of EUR/USD (Daily Time Frame). Is the lower line correct placed? Regards / JoLi {image}

Hello jolimoney
Well done. not bad for a first time try.

In addition to joemcc0ol's comments, again try to get the lower line as close to the origin of the drop as the chart allows

Welcome to T.I.O.F

As i have stated earlier in a previous entry, the recording is being sent to attendees only.
However, i understand it took place in the middle of the night in your part of the world so in such cases i suppose it is only fair to make an exception.

Hello everyone ! again a great thread AKT and look forward to posting my charts in a few days. I have two questions which for my purpose will help clarify your way of thinking in your model.
Q:1 You like to see a strong move into a zone whether it be Supply or demand zone rather than steps is this because of the strength of the buyer or seller showing intent . Also does this mean that it could be the last of the buyers or sellers taking out or coming into a zone and then moving in or out quickly in the opposite direction Why is this important ? just for my clarification

Q2. The change of a trend on the particular key time frame the you trade eg: daily or 4hour etc. My understanding is that a trendline break must be proceeded by a removal of two opposite zones to be a trend or other wise it is considered consolidation until the two zones are removed however the alternative is a trendline in the opposite direction between two pivot points for change of direction? I still feel like i'm missing something or am I correct ?
Again thank you for you precious time to answer these questions and i'm sure some one kind enough on the forum could answer them for me

Hi Michael

Yes I was short on EURJPY. Closed all positions now.

I am inserting a picture with the SZ and where I entered trade.

I am still struggling with identification of trend and momentum.
Please let me know if I identified the zones correctly. I am open to any comments.

Hello foxtrader16

I see what you did. I am glad your trade worked but i am afraid it is not a supply and demand trade.
The reason it isn't is because with S.A.D we trade pullbacks. Price is yet to trade back to those zones for entry so i am guessing you took breakdowns from them.

About the momentum lines, if you take a look on the youtube channel, there is a video there about trend lines and how to draw them

Hello jgk

1. the move into a zone is preferred to be a strong one for the sake of profit margin. Stepwise arrival removes that because you have an opposing level close by in that instance

2. A trend line break at a big picture level is just that, the end of momentum. We don't use trend lines to define trend as you know. So until the definitions for trend are fulfilled, a momentum line break just signifies the end of momentum

Thank you all very much for playing along.

I showed the chart to use it to teach the definition of an uptrend within the methodology

Firstly, i must make it clear, I do not use trend lines to define trend. I use them to assess momentum. You can also use any momentum indicator for that purpose

So the definitions of an uptrend:

1. 2 demand zones removed. (whether or not we are making HHs and HLs)

2. 1 demand zone removed + the ability to define a change in downward momentum to an upward one, evidenced by being able to draw an upward momentum line.

Now, please go back to the chart again and apply these 2 definitions to the chart and see what you come up with.

Thanks again for playing along and being good sports

best wishes

Hi, i think you mean supply zones?
well let me share my pic with this notes to explain why i think is uptrend although
Notes on image:
"i use the trend lines as you, for momentum and too see if a Zone is created(let me know if i mistake)
on my notes i have
For zones:
1 The zone that broke a trend line
2.- the zone that took out an opposing zone
So the blue squares mark the CREATED Zone for the broken trend lines only for that i use them in this image.

For a Trend. Remove a supply zone and demand created and respected
as the Blue squares and the second one being respected(edited).
This is why i say is in an uptrend "

Newbie here trying to learn OFT to add something to my FX trading toolbox. My first question is how do you exactly determine S & D levels/area on a naked chart. I'm sorry if this question sounds like I haven't done any due diligence on my part. But they say those who want to learn asks questions so here I am asking my first question about OFT. From this point forward I'm ready to commit myself to all the hard work and effort that I need to put in order to learn OFT. It's going to be a long way down the road and rough as well but I'm okay with that. So I'll get started with learning by reading all post in this thread with 100+ pages already.
Patience and Discipline, these are the Holy Grail.

Hello Michael,

it looks as an early morning mistake.

For uptrend shoul'd be removed supply zones. No demand.
