I'd also appreciate a reply to this question as I have opened a live account with Oanda recently intending to trade micro-lots initially.

Also, are disconnections from the server/freezing occurring? If so, how do you deal with it?

I haven't seen any surprising differences between FXgame and FXtrade, the only important difference you'll find is with the "psychology" stuff (which is not a minor detail...).

It happens, but so far I haven't seen any "disconnections" taking place for more than 2 minutes or something like that, it usually comes back real quick within a matter of seconds or just a few minutes. I don't see this as a significant issue.

Thanks. Ricardo. That's reassuring. I'm just waiting to fund my account and raring to trade live.

My plan is to deposit a small amount thru Paypal and see how my trades (micro-lots) turn out. Depending on my results, I could send a bigger amount by wire and go mini.

Wish me luck!

There is always a difference between Demo and Live because Demo doesn't actually generate an execution. That isn't something devious on the part of a broker, just reality. Demo just says "Say he got filled at the price" while Live has to actually get the fill. Expectations need to be realistic.

That's true, but Oanda's execution (at least with micro lots) is truly "instant" execution, sometimes I think that my real orders at Oanda are filled faster than my demo orders on some MT4 brokers.

LOL. That's a good one. Says a lot about MT4 brokers, eh?

I second that. Sometimes in the past it has happened that limit and stop orders didn't work on FxGame. But it always has worked on the real FxTrade.

Simply there are no differences, the FxGame platform might have some additional beta features, which are tested there.

I had once some slippage during news (I don't trade the news but had a stop buy order there). But this slippage occured in the FxGame account as well...

Simply don't demo! I've never utilized demo since it's too simple to not take after your own trading rules. I exchange with a small record and have been purported trading live for minimal more than year and a half and have quite recently as of late climbed to .10 for every pip. I find that I don't care for losing a .01 for every pip any longer then I would losing $1.00 per pip. I"m beyond any doubt it'll be one more year or two preceding I even come to the heart of the matter of trading $1 per pip. So if your broker enables you to exchange smaller scale at that point do it and go for the .01 for each pip. Simply my conclusion.
