Dislikedfrom a fundamental perspective i find it hard to believe the other central banks including the FED will leave Mervyn King out to dry
King is the venerable central banker of central bankers and has led the plea to push stimulus down to the common people.
in other words, King is a kind of Churchill appealing to the emotions of the populace but also has the credibility to pull it off.
i seriously doubt that King's effort are in in vain or to be wasted by wreckless central planning or poor timing.
there is however also a downside.......Ignored

Dislikedi have already tried to address this...in private...since it is posted here...i will re-paste my answer:
In all the past cases where i tried to guess what the FED or the BOJ or the BOE or the SNB or the RBA are trying to do...i have been wrong.
I have reached the conclusion that i am woefully equipped with playing guessing games with the FED or her equivalents in other countries....
I will say this much: they care more about the market than they care about the underlying economy. That is my short rule in dealing with the FED or the BOJ...Ignored

DislikedIn a nutshell, if one tries to read their minds, the best that one can do is this:
Ask two simple questions:
what does the market looks like it needs?(which may or may not be aligned with what the economy needs)
What looks good for the politicians?
these two proxies are the best way i know how to guess what is on the minds of the federal bankers.
that is the best i can do, roar roar 53.Ignored
Disliked.......Central banks are like private bussines but with a lot of power, pivate bussines look to sell their product, get paid and impress their owners, central banks are no diferent, they try to sell their product,( lend their money), get paid the interest back on those loans and to do that they need to improve exports so corporations do well and pay the goverment a lot of taxes so the goverment in return pay their loans to them with the corresponding interest, so in this effort each country or each central bank of each country will try to devalue...Ignored
