Passion helps you go through tough times no doubt, but what's the goal? In the end is making money from the Market.
Consistent gains vs Short term gains?

Keep clear on your goals, and make steps to get there.

I agree, but I also think that when one actually trades they have to be stone cold and curb all passion. It's a paradox, but it's necessary.

I'm sorry but passion is just another term for emotional attachment. To become emotionally attached in the financial sector is a recipe for disaster.

{quote} Trading small time frames is difficult because of EFFICIENCY. Can you make sure you follow EVERY SINGLE trade signals generated by your trading system? Unless you are into HFT or Algos to trade small time frames if not it's a NO GO because it will be too random in the end!

I agree. What timeframe do you like to trade?

I think education is a big factor in success. if you don't get proper education you will eventually get tired of constant losses and leave for sure.

Take a look at his profile: https://www.forexfactory.com/tradetarsier#acct.51

Not a very promising start. I hope this was a high risk account with small deposit.

I trade using H4 time frame, cause it suits my lifestyle and not having to see the charts and make decisions every now and then.

I with you. I trade daily charts. I have had some success on smaller timeframes but I just don't like how I feel.

education is more important in Fx trading but despite of having much education trading can be useless if there is no regular practice of trading , so it is more appropriate to emphasis on practice session.

I somewhat disagree about education. Education is theory and it means nothing without talent and practice. Trading FX is like playing basketball (or any other sport). Anyone can learn the rules but if you dont practice and have no talent for it, you will never be good enough to make it as a pro. I think reading books and taking FX courses is a waste of time and money which can be better used.

I think practice is important, but its better to keep practicing on the things that actually are related to the way market functions (like s/p for example) instead of what most people do which is focusing on finding a magical indicator that can shows them the way.

you got my exact point , thanks , traders generally looking for always a magical strategy which brings profit constantly but in practical consistently from from a trading indicator or strategy is not possible , every moment market is changing and traders should develop their trading attitude , otherwise no way to survive in here with successfully.

If traders start their live trading after ensuring their good trading skill then the scenario will be different! Without learning; forcing for big profit is an illusion!
