I look at higher TF for the trend bais and take the entry in the 5min. Usually 30min and 1hr.

And how do you determine the trend? Some people use MAs, Alligator or Fractals (HH-HL, LH-LL)...

Probably you are right. I do not do Daytrading usually... What is the best time to trade that way? London-New York sessions?

I start looking for entry opportunities 1hr before London open. I don't take new trades after London close, usually the market become less volatile.
